Who’s Looking at You Halloween Owl Mini Quilt

Who’s Looking at You? 18″ x 36″

Print your applique designs right on your inkjet printer using Heat n Bond Lite EZ Print Sheets. You’ll love them because there’s no tracing!

Applique Tip #1: When putting together your applique pieces, lay them out first before ironing to your fabric. Make sure they slightly overlap if indicated in the keys. A heatproof sheet is a great tool for assembling the pieces. Lay them out on the sheet and lightly press them in place (do not do it for too long.) Let cool. Carefully peel off the applique from the sheet and lay it on the right side of your fabric. Press in place.

Applique Tip #2: Ironing lightweight interfacing on the back of applique blocks adds stability when stitching around fabric pieces.

An Oliso iron is a great way to iron those applique designs to the right side of your fabrics.

Assembling a small quilt or wall hanging to prep for quilting is so easy with Spray n Bond Basting Adhesive and Stitch n Sew High Loft Fleece. Protect the area where you will be working by placing an old sheet of paper under and around the area you’ll be spraying. Place the batting on the work area, smoothing to remove wrinkles. Place the wall hanging front, the wrong side down, on top of the batting. Smooth to remove wrinkles. Roll back three or four inches of the front to expose some of the batting and the wrong side of the wall hanging front.

Using Spray n Bond Basting Adhesive, lightly spray batting from one edge to the other. Carefully roll the front over the batting. Smooth fabric to ensure it adheres to the sprayed batting and removes any wrinkles. Continue spraying and smoothing a few inches at a time. Check for creases or folds you might have missed. Let dry. Repeat to add quilt back to batting.

Quilt and add binding using your favorite method.
