Hello Crafty Friends!!

Whimsy Stamps Collaboration Week

Larissa here today to share some AWESOME Inspiration using Whimsy Stamps Products!! I wanted to share how you can use the exact some Products to create some AMAZING Foiled Backgrounds by using both the Positive and Negative of the Foil Transfer Sheets!! I had SO MUCH FUN using all of these Products together and can’t wait to share what Icreatedeate, so lets get started!!

Whimsy Stamps Whale Card

I wanted to use the Buffalo Plaid Background Stamp to create my background which I made using the Whimsy Stamps “Card Builder Windows” Die Set!! So I inked up the Stamp and Stamped it with Versa Mark Ink onto my cardbase, then Embossed it using Clear Detail Embossing Powder!!

Then I used some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and added some Water Droplets to add some texture and to make it look more like Water!!

I then added a piece of Gina K Designs Turquoise Sea Fancy Foil on top and ran it through the Laminating Machine!! (Keep the Negative Transfer Foil piece as I’ll use that for the Background of my second Card!!) I added a little more Distress Ink in Faded Jeans to the Foiled Panel, then added some Black Soot Distress Paint Splatters to add even more Texture!!

I Stamped and Embossed the Whale Image from the Whimsy Stamps “Whale of a Time” Stamp Set!! I used Copic Markers in (BG70, BG73, Bg78, R00, C5, C2, and C0) for the Whale and then added some White Gel Pen Details!! For the Circles, I Die Cut some Gina K Designs Premium Cardstock in White using the Gina K Designs Nested Circle Dies!! Then I used the Whimsy Stamps “Kinetic Curved Basic” Die Set and created the Waves using the Scalloped Border Die!! I inked it up using Distress Inks in Peacock Feathers and Faded Jeans!! For the Sky, I used Tumbled Glass. I added the Whale using Gina K Designs Foam Tape and then adhered the Circle using more Foam Tape!! I Stamped and Embossed the sentiment onto another Die Cut Circle and then Inked the center using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink!! It was adhered to the Top of the Larger Circle using Gina K Designs Foam Tape!! To finish it off I added some Pretty Pink Posh Jewels!! I LOVE how it turned out!!

Whimsy Stamps Porpoise Card

For my Second Card, I’m going to use the Negative Foil piece that I created after we Foiled the Buffalo Plaid Background from our first Cardbase!! I LOVE being able to use BOTH the Positive and the Negative pieces for NO WASTE and UNIQUE one of a kind Backgrounds!! Plus, this is going to be an Interactive Card!! Even more fun right!!??

I started by Laminating the Negative Foil piece to a Piece of Deco Foil Toner Sheets!! Then I added some Opal Deco Foil and ran it through the Laminating Machine again to add the Opal Foil into all of the Negative Spaces!! It’s HARD to see in the photos, but in real life, that Opal Deco Foil REALLY Sparkles!!

I then Die Cut the Foiled Toner Sheet using the Whimsy Stamp “Wonky Window 1” Die!! It created the most BEAUTIFUL Cardbase!! I also Die Cut two piece of Gina K Designs Premier White Cardstock using the same Wonky Window 1 Die and used the largest Window opening for the background of my Ocean Scene!! The second piece I used the Whimsy Stamps “Kinetic Curved Basic” Die Set and created the Waves using the Scalloped Border Die!! I inked it up using Distress Inks in Peacock Feathers and Faded Jeans!! For the Sky, I used Tumbled Glass.

I Stamped and Embossed the Dolphin Image and used Copic Markers (N8, N6, N4, N2, N0 R00) to Color the Dolphin!! Then I added some White Gel Pen details and a Clay Heart!! I Stamped and Embossed the Water Splashes also from the Whimsy Stamps “Whale of a Time” Stamp Set using some WoW Glitter Embossing Powder to add even more Sparkle to the Card!! I adhered the Whimsy Stamps Foiled “Wonky Window 1” Die Cut Frame to the Card using Gina K Designs Foam Tape that I cut down into thinner Strips to add some dimension!! I inlaid the other pieces and then added more Gina K Designs Foam Tape the just the edges of the Wave piece to make sure that the Dolphin has room to spin and move!!

I wanted to make the Dolphin Spin and Slid, so I used the “Kinetic Curved Basics” Die Set and created the Slider for the Card!! II Die Cut it into the White Panel and then adhered the Dolphin onto the Disc that I also created using the Die Set!! I Stamped and Embossed the Sentiment onto a Gina K Designs Nested Circle Die and adhered it to the card panel using more Gina K Designs Foam Tape to make it flush with the Frame!! I added some Pretty Pink Posh Jewels to finish of the Card Design!! How FUN is this Card!!?? I LOVE that it’s Interactive and that I was able to create two completely different Cards using mostly the same set of supplies!!
