Hello Crafty Friends!! We’re excited to kick off a new week with our friends at Heffy Doodle!
Heffy Doodle Collaboration
Heffy Doodle is a company producing high quality, versatile stamps and dies for the crafting world. Founded by the creative and energetic owner, Lesley Oman, aka Hungry Heffy from Hungry Heffy Crafts.
For many years, Lesley’s husband Craig tried to convince Lesley to turn her doodles into stamps but she was too busy making cards to stop and listen. Thankfully she DID and in 2017 Heffy Doodle was born! “It started as an idea, grew into a wish, and now thanks to hard work and determination, is now a daily dream come true!”
For the first time, we’ve teamed up with our friends across the pond for a week of fun, inspiration, and ideas. We loved all the fun and whimsical stamps and knew you would too!
We hope you’ll join us all this week as we share some amazingly creative projects featuring our two companies and inspire you to think outside the box!
Kicking things off is Larissa with the best trio of dinosaur cards we’ve seen yet!!
Heffy Doodle Dino Cards
Today I’m sharing some projects as part of the Collaboration Week with Heffy Doodle!! I had so much FUN working with their products in combination with Deco Foil, Deco Flock Sheets, Metallix Gel and Glitz Glitter Gel!! Let’s get to my Cards!!
Conhatchulations Card
For my first Card, I wanted to create a Vibrant background using the Heffy Doodle UnbeLEAFable Stencil and combining Deco Foil and Metallix Gel and Gina K Designs Glitz Glitter Gel!!
I started by inking the Cardbase with some Shabby Shutters Distress Oxide Ink and then I sprayed the Stencil with some Pixie Spray and adhered it to the Background and applied some Deco Foil Transfer Gel using the Stencil Pal!! I sat it aside to Dry!!
Once it was dry, I used the Emerald Watercolor Deco Foil and ran it through my laminator to Foil the Design!! SWOON!! Isn’t is BEAUTIFUL!!??
Next, I replaced the Stencil rotating it so the pattern was in a different orientation!! Then on a small plate, I mixed together with a spoonful of Pure Gold Metallix Gel, Turquoise Sea and Grass Green Gina K Designs Glitz Glitter Gel!! Once mixed I used my Stencil Pal to spread it over the Stencil!! Then set it aside to Dry!! EEKK!! I LOVE how this turned out and I CAN’T WAIT to play with other combinations in the future!!
I wanted a Gold Deco Foiled frame to help frame the Scene so I Die Cut a piece of Toner Sheet that I foiled with Gold Deco Foil and then Die Cut the Rectangle Frame!!
Coloring the Dinos
I created my SWEET Scene by using Images from the Dinky Dinos Stamp Set, Dino Time Stamp Set and the Sentiment from the Eggcellent News Stamp Set!! I colored the Images with Copic Markers (Dinos: BG000, BG11, BG45 & BG49 Cheeks: RV11 Egg: V01, V15 & V09 Rocks: E21, E25 & E29) I Stamped the Tree using Distress Oxide Inks in Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint and Lucky Clover for the Top, and Antique Linen and Vintage Photo for the Trunk!!
I also used Tumbled Glass and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Inks for the Background!! I Stamped and Embossed the Sentiment using WoW White Embossing Powder and then adhered the Scene Panel onto the Stenciled Cardbase using Gina K Designs Foam Tape!! I added White Gel Pen Details along with adding Tonic Studio Nuvo Drops in Blizzard Glitter and Morning Dew to parts of the Images to make the Sparkle and Shine!!

Rawr-Some Card
For my second Card, I also used the UnbeLEAFable Stencil, only this time I started by Inking the Design onto my Cardbase using Distress Oxide Inks in Peacock Feathers, Lucky Clover, Peeled Paint, and Vintage Photo!!
I removed the Stencil and reapplied it in a different orientation then applied Deco Foil Transfer Gel with the Stencil Pal and set it aside to dry!! Once the gel was dry I applied the Emerald Watercolor Deco Foil and ran it through the laminating machine!!
I used the Stenciled Background for the base of my Design and built a scene on top of it!! The Images are from the Heffy Doodle Dinky Dinos Stamp Set and the Heffy Doodle Dino Time Stamp Set!! I’ve used Copic Markers to Color my Images!! (Stegosaurus: BG000, BG11, BG45 & BG49 Triceratops: V01, V15 & V09 Y11 & YR23 E43 & E47 Baby Brontosaurus: RV00, RV11 & RV84 Pterosaur: YR00, YR02 & YR18 Cheeks: RV11 Rocks: E21, E25 & E29)
I Stamped the Trees using Distress Oxide Inks in Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint and Lucky Clover for the Top, and Antique Linen and Vintage Photo for the Trunk!! I Stamped and Embossed the Sentiment using WoW Iridescent Glitter Embossing Powder!! I added White Gel Pen Details along with adding Tonic Studio Nuvo Drops in Blizzard Glitter and Morning Dew to parts of the Images to make the Sparkle and Shine!!

Dino Friend Card
For my last Card, I wanted to use ALL of the Distress Oxide Ink that was on the Stencil from Inking up the Design from the Second Card!! I sprayed it with a Mist of Water and then placed it down onto my Cardstock!! I pressed it down using a paper towel and then repeated the process, lining up the Stencil Design so I’d have the pattern matched up!! I LOVE how it turned out!! Just BEAUTIFUL!!
Once the Cardstock was dry, I replaced the Stencil making sure to line up the Design!! Then used my Stencil Pal to apply Deco Foil Transfer Gel!! I sat it aside to dry and then applied some Deco Foil Green Envy Flock and ran it through my Laminating Machine!! SQUEAL!! I LOVE how it turned out!!
Here’s a close up of the Design!! Also, DON’T forget to save the Negative pieces of Flock and you can use those for other Card Designs!!
I foiled a piece of Deco Foil Toner Sheets with Bronze Deco Foil and then used a Stitched Circle to Die Cut a Frame for the Scene!!
I used the T-Rex Image and Rocks from the Heffy Doodle Dino Time Stamp Set!! I used Copic Markers to Color the Images!! (T-Rex: YG93, E81 & E84 Rocks: E21, E25 & E29) I used Distress Oxide Inks in Tumbled Glass and Vintage Photo for my Background and Stamped and Embossed the Sentiment using WoW Pearl Gold Glitter Embossing Powder!! I Die Cut the Friend Die Cut from some Kraft Cardstock that was adhered to some Kraft colored Fun Foam using the Easy Cut Adhesive Sheets!! I inked the bottom of the Die Cut with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide to make it POP and then adhered it to the Card!!
