Hello there! It’s Andrea with you today, and I have three cards featuring Deco Foil Flock and Photo Play Paper’s Frostival Collection.

Ugly Sweater Cards with Photo Play Paper

Now, I don’t know if these sweaters count as “ugly” ones – I would certainly wear them! I love that you can easily decorate the sweater from the Frostival stamp set any way you like, and I couldn’t resist adding texture with flock.

Adding Flock Details to Stamped Images

I stamped the sweater three times and colored the images with Copics before die-cutting them with the coordinating dies. To add designs to the sweaters, I used three different stencils, masking around the images I wanted to highlight and applied a layer of Transfer Gel Blanco (I used the Blanco gel so that the color of the flock would not be altered by the color underneath).

Once the gel was dry, I used my laminator to transfer Deco Foil Flock to each image. I used Green Envy for the tree, Tuscan Gold for the reindeer, and (not pictured) White Latte for the snowflake. To add a little more to each design, I applied Glitz Glitter Gel in Red Velvet through a stencil.

Hello Winter Card

My first card is a mini slimline. After trimming the Winter Fun sheet to 3.5″ x 6″, I adhered it to my card with the Memory Tape Runner XL. I cut the scallop square from the B sides of the Winter Fun and Polar Plunge papers and affixed them to my card with 3D White Foam Tape. I popped the sweater on top with 3D White Foam Squares.

I trimmed a section from the B side of the Warm and Cozy paper, heat-embossed a sentiment from the stamp set, and adhered the piece to my card with the tape runner. I cut and distressed a strip from the Hot Cocoa paper and attached it to my card. Finally, I die-cut a snowflake from red and white glitter papers and layered them onto my card with Mixed Media Adhesive, finishing with a gem in the snowflake’s center.

Happy Freezin’ Season Card

My next card may be my favorite of the three. I trimmed a rectangle from the B side of the Warm and Cozy paper, distressed the edges with my scissors, and adhered it to a white card with the Memory Tape Runner XL.

I cut a rectangle from the B side of the Wheeee paper and a smaller one from white cardstock. After distressing the edges of each, I layered the two together and adhered them to my card with 3D White Foam Tape. On the white rectangle, I stamped a sentiment from the Frostival stamp set and blended Speckled Egg Distress Oxide through a stencil.

Using the partial die-cutting technique and the coordinating dies from the stamp set, I die-cut a scalloped border from the B side of Winter Fun. I trimmed a strip from the Hot Cocoa paper and layered that onto the scalloped border, adhering them to my card with the Memory Tape Runner XL. I embellished with some die-cut snowflakes and added a red gem to the smallest one with Mixed Media Adhesive. Finally, I popped up the sweater with 3D White Foam Squares.

Let’s Chill Together Card

For my final project, I created a 5.5″ square card. I trimmed a 5″ square from the B side of the Hot Cocoa paper, distressed it, and adhered it to a white card with the Memory Tape Runner XL.

I cut a smaller square from white cardstock and distressed the edges. Using the packaging technique, I applied Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink to the center before adding splatters of the same ink. Once that was dry, I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set and affixed the square to my card with the tape runner.

I die-cut a circle from the B side of the Polar Plunge paper and affixed it with 3D White Foam Tape. Next, I cut a strip from the Hot Cocoa paper, distressed the edges, and adhered it with a combination of tape runner and foam tape. I added a glittery snowflake with Mixed Media Adhesive and popped up the sweater with 3D foam squares, affixing a gem to the snowflake. I cut a banner from the B side of the Winter Fun sheet and added two stickers from the sticker sheet, popping up the circle with a foam square. I finished the card with a few pink enamel dots from my stash.
