Ellen here and today I’m sharing a card using a lot of Deco Foil Flock and (Neon) Glitz Glitter Gel!
Every year I love to see these Christmas sweaters, so you can guess where my inspiration came from.
Ugly Christmas Gnome Sweater Cards
I started with the base of my cards, the sweaters. For that, I attached the Deco Foil Flock on Foam Adhesive Sheets. First, you cut a piece of the foam adhesive sheet slightly larger than the design (in this case the sweater). Next, you cut out a piece of flock Slightly larger than the foam piece you dis just cut. Place the flock (color side facedown) onto the exposed adhesive and run through a manual die-cutting machine to apply pressure.
Peel away flock sheet from foam design. After that, you can add dimension and sparkle to your flock by applying Glitz Glitter Gel. For this, I used different stencils and held them to the flock with Purple Tape. Next, I used the Stencil Pal to easily apply Glitz Glitter Gel. At the end, I removed the remaining liner and apply a flocked design to my card base.
I exactly did the same with all small elements from the dies from Gnome for the Holiday kit and add-on. Just as with the sweater I applied ink on the sides. This gives the shapes a bit more dimension. I also added a little bit of Glitter Gel.
I added to festive banners by just stamping sentiments from the Gnome for the Holiday kit stamp set directly onto the flock.
As the last step, I attached 3 sequins by using the Zots Clear Adhesive Dots. I love this glue for adding tiny embellishments to a card. It’s really a must-have to make them festive.
Doesn’t they look like real Christmas sweaters?
I think they both turned out super cute!
