Trio of Butterflies with Magical Monarch

I just love butterflies! All types of butterflies! Brutus Monroe and Thermoweb have teamed up to bring this butterfly stencil, stamp, die and card panel set…and brand new White Sparkle!
To start this project I cut paper for the mixed media project to 5″x12″, then used the Brutus Monroe Mixed Media Stencil – Starlight with Embossing Paste to create a sun-shaped and line down the center. Then dried with a heat tool. Next cut a piece of paper 1/2″ bigger, I used Gina K Designs Terrific Tape, 1/2″ to attach both the background piece and embossed piece. Next, I took ink and sprayed with water and smooshed the embossed paper and splatter it with purples and black ink. I also used the Brutus Monroe Raven Detail Ink to ink one of the new sentiments.
For the next project, I cut a piece of Brutus Monroe Not Your Mama’s Cardstock in half. With a pallet knife, I smeared Brutus Monroe Candy Coat – Purple on one half and let dry. After it dried I applied the Brutus Monroe Foil Transfer Sheets, White Sparkle. Then I cut out butterflies and the shadow pieces. I also used the Deco Foil Toner Sheets with the Brutus Monroe Foil Transfer Sheets, Silver Sketch, Purple Sketch and Green Sketch and die-cut Brutus Monroe Fabulous Florals Dies.
I cut out of a piece a cardstock and A2 panel and attached it to card base. Then I smooshed purple ink and splattered purple and black ink on the panel. I created flowers with the die cuts and attached them to the front of the card. I took one of the butterflies I cut out and dipped it into the purple ink and attached to the front of the card. I stamped the sentiment at the top of the card and edged the card panel with purple.
For the last card I cut a slim line card panel and smeared purple ink down the middle and splattered purple and black ink. I attached the butterflies to the front, the center one has the purple shadow behind the middle one. Lastly, I attached gems to all of the cards where needed.
