Time to Fly Deco Foil Toner Cards

To start things off I chose my foil colors and pulled out one of each design in the A2 size toner card fronts. I heated up my laminator and got things cooking!

While I had the laminator on, I decided to run a couple of pieces of toner sheets through with scraps of the same foils I was using on the card fronts to use for my sentiment dies.

I die cut my sentiments from the foiled toner sheet, plus 3 more times from white cardstock and then the shadow from vellum for both sets. I think vellum shadows on sentiments is my very favorite to do, all the time! I used my awesome Ultra Bond liquid glue to adhere all the layers together and then set those aside.

Next, I prepped my stencil layers with pixie spray because these lines tend to shift when ink blending and we don’t want that.

I grabbed my Lawn Fawn dye inks and blending brushes in coordinating colors and got to inking up my card fronts. I started with the butterflies going over the whole sheet in the lightest yellow, then the first set of rays in the darker yellow and accenting with the peach color.

And as you can see from this photo, I changed my mind and decided not to do the same background on both cards. This time I grabbed the Newton’s Nook cloudy sky stencil and inked it up with a couple of light blues.

I stamped and colored the images from Mouse House and Bunny Burrow, then used the coordinating dies to cut them out and now we’re ready to assemble both of our cards!

I simply used liquid adhesive to add the foiled card fronts to bases, then added my sentiment and finished things off with those cute bugs! Here is a closer look at each card.

For finishing touches on this card, I just added little glossy accents to the snail’s shell. I have a hard time leaving things alone, so while I didn’t want to detract from the beautiful foiling, I didn’t want my snail lost either. The shine brings your eye to him, I think.

For this super bright and fun card, I added glossy accents to all the bugs but on the firefly’s rear end I used Stickles in crushed pineapple which is an awesome neon yellow color, and Wink of Stella glitter brush pen on the wings.

These cards are so much fun to play within the light. I love these foil colors together so much!

I really can’t wait to share these with people! I just think they are so fun and happy, sure to bring a smile!!! Don’t you think so?
