Repeat these directions as many times as needed to create as many place settings as you need!

Chair Bag:

1. Cut 2 rectangles of Therm O Web HeatnBond® UltraHold Adhesive, one 4.5″ x 4.5″ for the place mat monogram and one 8.5″ x 11″ for the bag monogram.  Iron onto the back side of the accent cotton fabric.  Die cut the monograms with a digital cutter or hand cut.  Set monograms aside.

2. Cut the felt pieces; one – 10″ x 24″ and four – 2″ by approximately 12″ (make longer or shorter depending on the chair back the bag will be hung from).  Cut the sheer accent fabric, 9″ x 11″.

3. Sew two of the strap felt pieces together back to back.  A double-layered strap will be more sturdy and will help prevent natural stretching.  Repeat for the second strap.

4. Fold the main piece of felt in half.  Line up the sheer accent fabric and pin to felt.  Make sure you are only pinning to one layer of felt!  Unfold the main piece of felt and sew the sheer fabric to the felt.

5. Peel the paper backing off the die cut monogram.  Center in the middle of the sheer fabric and iron in place.  Use a press cloth to prevent scorching your sheer fabric and felt.

6. Sew the velcro strips to the inner back side of the bag about 1.5″ below the top of the bag and about an inch from the sides.  Sew the partner of the velcro strip the one end of the strap.  Sew the straps to the bag.  The end of the strap without the velcro will be attached to the outer back side of the bag.

7.  Wrap the straps around the back of the chair to hang the bag.  Fill with coloring sheet and crayons or other kid-friendly activities to keep them busy during the holiday meal.

Placemat:

1. Take the remaining small monogram die cut, peel off the paper backing and iron to the lower right-hand corner of a 12″ x 16″ piece of  felt.  Sew a line of decorative stitching around the placemat (optional).

Tea Light Candles:

1. Transform an ordinary tea light candle by wrapping 1/2″ ribbon around the side.  Hold the ribbon in place with a strip of SuperTape™ 1/2″.
