Therm O Web and Gina K. Designs Amazing New Foil-Mates!!!!

Hello Crafty Friends! Gina K. and Therm O Web have amazing, new Foil-Mates. There are nine new packs and two designs in each pack. You can see all the new designs here. Today, I will be showing you one card design from the “Polka Party” pack and one from the “Dots and Strings” pack. I also used a new stamp set from Gina K. Designs called “Limited Edition.” I just love this stamp set with the new Foil-Mates designs. I am so excited to show what I made and how I made them!

For my first card, I used the tiny dot design from the “Polka Party” pack and Gina K.’s Blue Sky Fancy Foil. I placed them together in a carrier sheet ran it through the Fuse Foiling System. For the die-cut sentiment, I used the negative foil. (The negative foil is the foil you just used paired with a Solid Black Deco Foil Toner Card Front or a Gina K White Poly-Glaze sheet.) I ran the negative foil with the White Poly-Glaze sheet through the Fuse Foiling System and then used that sheet to die cut my sentiment. Foil first and then die cut. My sentiment is “Just Because” from Gina K. Designs! I then assembled the card, popping up the book and flowers using iCraft 3D Foam Squares for interest. I used tiny dots of iCraft’s Ultra Bond adhesive to adhere my sentiment.

I wanted to show you a trick on how to make a shaped card using a die. As you see in the picture below, I have a normal A2 card base, an arch-shaped die, and iCraft Pixie Tape. I placed the arch die just over the fold of the card base and secured it with the Pixie Tape. That way I know it will not move when I run it through my die cutting machine. Now you have a card base in the arch shape!

For my second card, I used a design from the “Dots and Strings” Foil-Mates pack and the same stamp set. This time I wanted my background to be a different color than the design, so I used the complementary Fancy Foil “Turquoise Sea”! I used the same process as above, except I used cardstock for my base color. The sentiment I added is from the same stamp set!
