Start by warming up your laminator. Then choose some adorable Laura Kelly toner sheets and the color deco foil you want to use with them. I stuck with warm tones for that fall feel. Once the laminator is good and hot, run each toner sheet through with your choice of foil in a parchment paper transfer sheet.

Once the toner sheets are foiled, ink blend them with a coordinating color of ink. Sometimes I try for contrasting but today I wanted to emphasize each foil color so I went with a tone-on-tone look. I also intentionally did a little uneven blending for some added visual texture. I feel like the imperfect goes with the feel of my cards today.

Next, turn the red, yellow, and orange toner sheets over and draw wonky feathers on the back so you can cut them out. I got 14 from each toner sheet. If you’re braver than I, you can just start cutting without drawing too. And if you prefer things to be a little more even and perfect, you could look for a flower petal die that might work. Then for the toner sheet, we inked brown, cut large and small wonky circles from it. Just make sure you have an even number of heads and tummies though. Next, I split the feathers up to make sure I had enough of each color to go around evenly.

I used a black micron pen to draw outlines, scribbles, and stitching on the edge of each cut-out piece. Then I adhered my turkeys together with Ultra Bond liquid glue. I cut a beak from sunshine yellow deco foil flock and wattle from the Ruby Red flock and adhered them to each turkey.

Now you have 6 super fun turkeys! What will you do with them??? You could make place setting cards for your Thanksgiving table, or create a banner to decorate the wall or mantle or create cards like I am today.

To make my cards, I created 6 white card bases and cut another 6 white cardstock panels measuring 4×5.25 inches. I wrote THANKFUL on the lower center of each one and then stamped “for you” from the Trinity Stamps Holiday Tag Helper stamp set below that.

Now for assembly! I added foam tape roll to the back of each sentiment panel and popped them up on the white card bases. Then I used foam squares to adhere my turkeys above the sentiments on each one.

Oh my word! I can’t really express how fun it was to get messy and imperfect, relax and just have fun creating this set of cards! Looking at them totally makes me smile!

Look at that fun foiling in the light too! It’s just a super awesome added touch to these fun cards!

I hope you enjoyed this project as much as I did creating it and find some inspiration to create something wonderful to share with someone!

I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!
