Welcome back!  It’s Dino Week and I’ve got a couple cute cards for you each with a masked center strip and a bokeh pattern using Sending Sunshine stencil!

T-Riffic Dino Cards with Opal Deco Foil

Here’s a quick video showing how I created both backgrounds:

Fun and easy way to add a little color and pattern!  I decided to do two in case one didn’t turn out as I hoped.  I taped off the edges with some Pixie Tape.  To be sure I had a good center it was easy to line up the edge of the tape with the edge of my panel on each side.  I kept the main background white on one and blended green ink before I added the circles on the other.

And notice I forgot my Pixie Spray when I started the first and had some trouble keeping my stencil in place… but no problem once I sprayed my stencil.   On the lighter one, I used Transfer Gel Duo because it dries clear and on the darker one, I used Transfer Gel Blanco for a solid white base for my Deco Foil.  I ran them through my Minc with Opal Transfer Sheets.

I love that on this one, the Deco Foiled circles are very transparent with a very iridescent look.

And the foliage stamps from the Rina K Stamp N Stencil Sending Sunshine set were perfect to create some embellishments to go along with it!

I used the same ink colors that I used for the background.  I stamped first with the lighter ink and then added the darker ink to part of the stamp and stamped again to create a two-tone leaf.

And I loved the one with the Deco Foil Blanco too!  The circles are more visible while still a little transparent and even more iridescent than with the Duo Gel.

Then I stamped cut and colored my dinos in Copic colors similar to my background and leaves…

Three dino images??  (I may have saved one for a future project)!  These cuties are from a Stamplorations set.

I picked out some coordinating cardstocks for each, die cut a couple frames and clouds, and stamped and die cut the sentiments and put them all together with various adhesives!

I love how these came out!  And see how using the Pixie Tape made it easy to have my design right in the middle and it leaves the perfect area for some fun stenciling?  I’m usually an eyeball it kind of gal, but if I’m off it will bother me forever so love this easy no measure way to mask.

I love too that these designs are pretty much the same design, but all of the slight differences make them very different.

That’s me for today!  Thanks for coming and hope you had a Rawrsome visit!
