Candy Stop Layout Details
When I was planning this layout I wanted a pop of yellow, but I had already used up the yellow paper in the collection. Bring in Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets to the rescue, along with a stencil and some Deco Foil Transfer Gel Duo! Then we need to bring everything together with the NEW Pixie Tape to hold my stencil in place!
I only wanted to use part of the stencil and the new Pixie Tape was perfect to hold my stencil, but still, be able to move it over the length of my page. I cannot wait to play more with this tape. I applied the Duo Gel over my stencil and then let it dry until clear.
The great thing about this gel is you know when it’s ready to go because it turns clear. And you can use it with the Deco Foil and Flock Transfer Sheets!
After I applied the flock transfer sheet color side down on my Duo Gel, I ran everything thru my laminating machine. You could also use a manual die-cutting machine, but this was a 12×12 background. Once you have applied pressure, heat, or both, carefully peel the flock transfer sheet back to reveal the magic!
It’s a little messy, which is due to the fact I moved the stencil around. I never plan for it to be perfect until I want to work on a layout for days, and who has the time?! LOL LOL But how fun is the pop of color at the bottom of the layout!
FOILED AND PUNCHED BORDER STRIPS
While my laminator was out and hot, I foiled a Slimline Card Front in Candy Stripes with the Glass Slipper Irridescent foil color.
Ekks, so pretty don’t you think?! You better hurry and grab these card fronts NOW because they are on sale and once they are gone, you won’t be able to get them again! I decided to cut the panel in half and then border punch each piece to use as a border layer on my layout.
I used my Memory Runner XL and lots of foam squares and tape to adhere and put everything together. We stop at this candy store every time we go by it. It’s quite the “tourist” trap, but we love it! And we only buy taffy and fudge!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a SWEET week!!!!
It’s a Sweet Treat Week here on the Therm O Web blog and we have not only some sweet projects to share with you….we also have some NEW Sweet Products to share too! We’re pleased to announce the official release of our NEW iCraft Pixie Tape and NEW iCraft Pixie Dots!
Our NEW Pixie Tape is the sweetest thing…first it’s a pretty translucent pink that sticks perfectly and peels off…well perfectly too! It’s happy to hold your die-cuts in place while you cut, as well as a host of other needs. (we like to use it to keep our projects in alignment on our glass mat while we work)
Our NEW Pixie Dots are here to save the day. They’re not only perfect to help you audition to where you’d like to place this element or that without committing to gluing it down. They’re also ideal for adding a gift card to your handmade card as they’re removable! Use them for your scrapbook pages too…place your elements all around your page as you decide where to add them! All this week we’ll be sharing sweet treats and that means treats for you too! We invite you to CLICK HERE to learn more about these two products AND enter to win a $40 Gift Card plus visit our Instagram to enter for another chance to win!
