Hello Crafty Friends!!
Larissa here today to share a Trio of Cards showing how you can Step up your Embossed and Black Out Debossed mages with Deco Foil!! Embossing and Black Out Debossing have been ALL the Rage lately and I thought it would be FUN to find a way to Step up these Techniques with some Deco Foil!!
SWOON!! I LOVE the results and I hope this INSPIRES you to give this Technique a try!!
I Stared the first Card by Embossing the Image onto some White Cardstock!! Then I Splattered some of the Deco Foil Adhesive Pen onto the Embossed Image and set it aside to Dry completely!!
Once the Deco Foil Adhesive Pen was completely Dry, I cut some of the Purple and Prince Periwinkle Deco Foil and then Pressed the Deco Foil onto the Dried Adhesive Splatters and I was left with some BEAUTFUL Foil Splatters!!
I added the Embossed Panel onto a Deco Foil Toner Card Front in Mod Dots using some Foam Tape for some Dimension!!
I Stamped and Embossed the “Oh Hello” Sentiment onto some Black Cardstock using WoW Embossing Ink and WoW Bright White Embossing Powder!! Then used the coordinating “Oh Hello” Die Set to Die Cut the Sentiment Out!! I adhered it to the Card Panel using some 3-D Foam Squares!!
Then to finish off the Design I added some Trinity Stamps Fairy Rock Rhinestones and I LOVE how the Iridescent Sparkle really adds to the Deco Foil Shimmer of the Splatters!! This card Design could be used for ANY Occasion just by changing out the sentiment used and I LOVE how EASY it was to create for ANY of those Last minute Cards you may need to create too!!
For the next 2 Cards I Started by Embossing and Debossing the Spring Bloom Embossing Folder onto some White Cardstock!! If you’re NEW to Embossing Folders, you can create both an Embossed Image (it’s raised off of the Card Panel) or a Debossed Image (it’s impressed into the Card Panel) with the same Embossing Folder!!
Let’s Started with the Embossed Card Panel!! I Inked with some Distress Oxide Inks and then added some Water Splatters for even more Texture!!
I repeated the same process of adding Distress Oxide Inks to the Debossed Card Panel too!! One the Debossed Image was Inked, I added some Water Splatters for even more Texture!!
In order to create the Black Out Debossed Design, Next we need to Ink the Debossed Card Panel with some Distress Ink!! I simply took the Ink Pad and rubbed it over the entire Card Panel!! I KNOW this step is SCARY, but I PROMISE the results are worth it!!
Next I took my Deco Foil Adhesive Pen and a Paper Plate and pressed the Nib of the Adhesive Pen down onto the Paper Plate to create a puddle of Deco Foil Adhesive in order to use it to Paint onto my Embossed and Debossed Images using a Fine Paint Brush!!
Here’s a Close up look at the Embossed Image once I added the Deco Foil Adhesive Pen to the different areas of the Embossed Flower that I want to highlight!! Then I set the Card Panel aside to Dry completely!! I repeated the same Process on the Debossed Card Panel too!!
Next I Cut some Deco Foil in Purple, Prince Periwinkle, Lily Pad and Jade and then pressed it onto the Dried Deco Foil Adhesive to add some Deco Foil Shimmering Highlights to the Embossed Flower Design!!

I added some Black Soot Distress Paint Splatters and then added the Embossed Panel onto a Deco Foil Toner Card Front in Mod Dots using some Foam Tape for some Dimension!!
Then I used the coordinating “Oh Hello” Die Set to Die Cut the “Oh Hello” Sentiment Out!! I adhered it to the Card Panel using some 3-D Foam Squares!!
Then to finish off the Design I added some Trinity Stamps Fairy Rock Rhinestones and I LOVE how the Iridescent Sparkle really adds to the Deco Foil Shimmer of the Deco Foil Highlights!! This card Design could be used for ANY Occasion just by changing out the sentiment!!
I added some Picket Fence Distress Paint Splatters and then added the Embossed Panel onto a Deco Foil Toner Card Front in Mod Dots using some Foam Tape for some Dimension!!
Then I used the Newton’s Nook Designs Banner Trio Die Set and Die Cut the Sentiment from the “Oh Hello” Deco Foil Toner Panels and I adhered it to the Card Panel using some 3-D Foam Squares!!
Then to finish off the Design I added some Trinity Stamps Fairy Rock Rhinestones and I LOVE how the Iridescent Sparkle really adds to the Deco Foil Shimmer of the Deco Foil Highlights!! SWOON!! Isn’t this Design STUNNING!!?? WOW!! I LOVE how you can create 3 different Card Designs using the same Products and just changing up the Techniques for a different look for ANY Occasion!!
