Hiya ThermOWeb fans! Suzanna here today to share with you a simple technique you can use to gussy up your flock die cuts and add visual interest to create your own embellishments as I have done here on this Saint Patrick’s Day layout.

ThermOWeb Supplies;

Using ink through a stencil is a great way to be able to add a pattern to your DecoFoil Flock pieces as I have done here for the shamrocks on this layout. Begin by using Purple Tape to secure a stencil over the flock shape (cut here with a Silhouette; be sure to check out this video and/or blog post for details on how that’s done; BLOG; https://blog.thermoweb.com/circus-scrapbook-layout-with-deco-foil-flock/ YOUTUBE; https://youtu.be/o0Epsgbavlc ).

Then using a foam applicator, moving in circular motions, apply ink to the flock. The idea had been to create an ombre effect however, it’s really more of a tone-on-tone effect. A darker shade of green would be necessary to create a true ombre effect, doable if you have it.

Using flock once again, I created the bow seen above using a coordinating stamp and die set from Maggie Holmes’ Heritage collection. The Orange Glow flock is a perfect match to the orange found in the Lucky Charm collection from PhotoPlay. A hint of ink smushed into the edges of the DecoFoil Foam Adhesive sheets makes it less obtrusive, hiding the white foam.

This layout also features one of the newer Toner sheets available, the Deco Foil Slimline Toner Card Front, Lots of Dots. While originally intended for card use, it’s the perfect size for layer on scrapbook pages and adding a touch of shine. Every Saint Patrick’s Day layout needs some gold, don’t you think? Just layer on the DecoFoil color of your choice and run it through a hot laminator, easy peasy!

If you’re more of a visual person, be sure to check out my “how-to” in the first 4 minutes to see how I added color to the flock then keep watching to see how the remainder of the layout comes together.

Do you have any techniques using ThermOWeb products on a scrapbook layout that you would like to see me demonstrate? Let me know in the comments and I’ll see how I can help!

Thanks for stopping in today!
