Hello Crafty Friends! Spring has sprung, so let’s have some fun with the two NEW Deco Foil Toner Card Fronts (two designs each package), NEW Deco Foil Toner Sentiments and three NEW Deco Foil Transfer Sheets! So, for spring, I made a fun, easy, colorful backpack card and an easy, COLORFUL black-and-silver Wedding Card! You read that correctly a colorful black-and=silver card! This is why I love foil so much, because when using foil, both can be true!
Let’s get started with the backpack card! The Mini Backpack Die comes from Popsiclesticks on Etsy and I really wanted to make it colorful! Of course, the new Deco Foil transfer foil in Prismatic Rainbow is just amazing and is perfect for the background of the backpack! So, I grabbed a sheet of the Prismatic Rainbow transfer foil and placed it shiny side up onto a solid black piece of Deco Foil toner paper. Then I placed it in the craft & carrier sheet and ran it through the Gina K. Designs Fuse machine on level four. This gives me a whole sheet of the gorgeous rainbow to die cut from.
I then used that sheet to die cut the back of my backpack and also the tassel that is on the zipper. I used a chrome sheet of paper for the zipper and the tag, but you can always use a silver color of foil with Deco Foil toner paper, as well! I assembled the rest of the backpack, even making the pocket a shaker! I just love how the backpack turned out!
For my second card, I wanted to keep it simple again, to show off how beautiful the new Deco Foil colors are! Earlier, I said that this wedding card was going to be a COLORFUL, black-and-silver card! As you can see above, which doesn’t even compare to how beautiful they are in-person, all the different colors the new Deco Foil Sparkling Silver Transfer Foil is giving us! I also love the elegant look of the new design from the Deco Foil Toner Card Fronts, Artsy Prints!
I followed the same process as above for the Sparkling Silver! First, I applied Sparkling Silver Transfer Foil to one of the Artsy Prints Toner Card Fronts using the Gina K. Designs Fuse machine. Once I peeled away the foil sheet, I transferred that leftover foil onto a Solid Black Deco Foil Toner Card Front to create a reverse effect for the top half of my card. I can use the first foiled toner card later for another project
Next, I foiled a Solid Black Toner Card Front in Sparkling Silver foil. I adhered this to my card base.. I also kept the sentiment black-and-white and added that to the card. Next, I trimmed the reverse foiled Artsy Prints toner card front on an angle, as shown, and glued that to the top of my card front. I used the ICraft 3D foam squares under the Mr. & Mrs. to give some interest. The flower is from the Blessings of Spring stamp set from Gina K Designs.
Thank you so much for your time today, and I hope you feel inspired to use these or any of Therm O Web products for your next project or card! Have a fabulous, crafty day!
