Red White and Boom! Scrapbook Layout with Glitz Glitter Gel

I started this layout with my fireworks stencil and glitter glitz gel in red, white, and blue. I did them one at a time and placed them towards the middle of my black cardstock as I wanted it to be a focal point. I did wait for each color to dry a bit so I didn’t smudge them but to my surprise, it dried pretty fast! Next, I added some white splatters with some watered-down acrylic paint and a round paintbrush.

Then, in comes my photos! I’ve matted them with smooth white cardstock, then again with a background paper from Fancy Pants Simply Summer collection. I’ve also added a border around my page with one of the 12×12 papers.

I’ve used my 4th of July stamp set by Pretty Pink Posh from our last collaboration to do my little circle fireworks embellishments! I just stamped them with some black archival ink, and then used a blending brush to add some barn red distress ink and prized ribbon distress ink to the center. I finished those off by cutting out with my Echo Park nesting circle dies on my manual die cutting machine and adding a small clear gem from Pretty Pink Posh in the center! Aren’t they just darling?

Lastly, I added embellishments from Fancy Pants Simply Summer collection to finish this one off!

There is a process video on YouTube if you’d like to see exactly how this came together:

Thank you for being here today and I hope I was able to inspire you to create!
