Hi everybody, Shemaine here from Crafty Creations with Shemaine sharing a fun idea for a Valentines Day home decor project.

Therm-O-Web Supplies:

3D Foam Squares

iCraft Easy Cut Adhesive

1/8 inch Super Tape

Sticky Strip Runner

My kids love it when I decorate our home for the holidays so every year I create something new to put up around our house. This year I thought it would be fun to create an altered project with these supplies I picked up at my local Michaels.

Howto2

First I wanted to alter the L shaped chipboard with the straws so I used Therm-O-Web’s Super Tape™ Adhesive to adhere them. It was easy to run a strip and lay the straw down on top and keep repeating.

Howto3

After I finished adhering the straws, I used 3D foam squares like this to adhere it to the patterned paper.

Howto1

I added some doilies to the background using the iCraft Easy Cut adhesive cut into circles and adhered to the back of the doily. Then I used a heart shaped die and some paper flowers to dress it up.

Finally I popped the finished project in a frame

Howto4

You can use this technique adhering the straws on a variety of chipboard shapes and sizes. These would look great on a card, mini album cover and more.

I hope you’ll give it a try! It’s not only perfect for Valentine’s Day..but think about a home decor gift with a last name or first initial, student gift, teacher gift…it’s endless!

Hello from sunny Southern California. My name is Shemaine, and I am a work at home mom to two wonderful kids. I’m lucky to be married to a great guy who gets my wicked obsession for creating with paper and doesn’t mind me leaving a trail of scraps all over our home.
A few things you might not know about me,  I love Good & Plenty candy, walks along the strand in Manhattan Beach on Sundays with my family and I’m a crime show junkie to boot!  If my dreams of paper and glue forever were to fade, I can always become a profiler with all the knowledge I have gained from my obsessive watching.  Music is a must in my life, nothing inspires me more. I’ve been so blessed this year with exciting opportunities and great friendships, life is good.
