Hello, Jenifer here with you today to share a fun fabric basket with you.  I found this cute free pattern and knew I just had to make it for my project.  This is an easy project that can be completed in about an hour.

Fabric Storage Basket with Fusible Fleece

HeatNBond Fusible Fleece

HeatNBond Craft Extra Firm

Cockatoos Peaches and Pears fabric from Paint Brush Fabrics

Painters Canvas Tarp for Lining

Other Supplies: Oliso Pro Iron, Aurifil Thread 2437, pins and clips

Essential Baskets II Free Pattern

Cockatoos Peaches and Pears fabric from Paint Brush Fabrics.  They print off their fat quarters in a single piece of fabric.  I just love how easy it is to fold up and store.

I made basket C.  Cut out all of your pieces and sew them together.

When all of the pieces are sewn together then adhere your strip to the Fusible Fleece.

Select the perfect thread color for some simple machine quilting.

The thread color was perfect.

I used some painter’s canvas for the lining, I wanted to make the basket nice and substantial.  Using Heat N Bond Craft extra firm to line the canvas gives the basket a nice dimension and structure.

Now I have the perfect container for my ever-growing Aurifil Thread collection.

Would duck cloth or outdoor fabrics work as well as the painters canvas?
I like the idea of the substantialness and stability of this project. So many of the ones I see out there are flimsy.
