Hello there Therm-O-Web fans. All this week we’re teaming up with Brutus Monroe to share some fun Slimeline card inspiration featuring the new Slimline collection and some new holiday products paired with a variety of Therm-O-Web products too!
Joy Slimline Card and Envelope
For the first card I started by cutting a 6×6 sheet of thin cardstock and adhering a sheet of the easy cut adhesive to the front. Next, I peeled off the top sheet to reveal the adhesive and burnished a 6×6 piece of the Brutus Monroe transfer foil in green sketch. Next, I placed the ornaments die over the foiled cardstock and ran it through my die cutting machine.
Next, I cut the die cut down to fit the Slimline card base and used our Mixed Media adhesive to adhere to the cardstock. Then I cut out the design of the ornaments and set aside.
Using Pixie Spray, I sprayed the stencil and placed it over the Slimline pre-cut card base. I then used pastel green and pink to add color to the card base. I love using stencils and ink becuase you can control how light or dark you want your background to be.
Next, I used a scallop border slimline die to cut our Deco Foil transfer flock in pink and adhered it to the card base. I then cut the stenciled background to fit inside the flocked border.
I then adhered foam squares to the back of the foiled ornament die and adhered it the to bottom of the slimline card.
Next, I used my Misti to stamp my sentiment of the card.
I should have done this before I adhered the ornament die cut but thanks to the Misti, I had no issues doing so after. The image came out crisp and clear.
I used the stencil and inks the same as the card base to make a matching envelope and added a festive greeting!
Hello Slimline Card and Envelope
For the second card, I created a fun fall-themed hello card and matching envelope.
I started by using blue, purple, and orange ink to create a fun background with the Brutus Monroe Falling Leaves stencil.
To add some fun texture I used the barn wall Brutus Monroe/ Unity background stamp with some lighter brown ink. This is easy to achieve by stamping over the stencil. Be sure and press down and hold the stamp so it gives you a clear image.
Here’s a look at the first stamp. Since the slimline card is long I had to stamp it twice.
It’s easy to get good coverage by using the stamp twice.
Here’s the finished look.
Next I used some Easy-Cut adhesive to create a strip to place across the card and add a sentiment. I peel back the backing to reveal the adhesive and burnish the Purple sketch Brutus Monroe foil.
Next using some of our Deco Flock, I use alphabet dies to die cut the sentiment.
Then I adhere it to the card base. I love how the blue flocked letters look against the foil!
I finsh the card by adhering the pre-cut panel to the card base.
The matching envelope is a fun extra. Now it’s ready to be mailed.
Thank you so much for stopping by today!
