Hello everyone and thank you for stopping by, Deb Riddell here with you today. As you may have heard, we are having a collaboration this week with Joy Clair Craft and they very generously sent me their beautiful Hello Autumn stamp set. I decided to combine them with Therm O Web’s new Wheat Fields Deco Foil Clear Designer Toner Sheets and Amber Watercolor Deco Foil Transfer Sheets to make my Second Spring fall mixed media panel.

Second Spring Fall Mixed Media Panel Instructions:
Ink cardstock with several shades of orange, brown and green water-soluble inks, spritzing with water to create water droplets and dry thoroughly. Stamp the aspen and oak leaves from the Hello Autumn stamp set onto the coloured card with a brown permanent ink and clear emboss (stamp three aspen leaves and two oak leaves). Stamp both the large and small acorns twice onto kraft cardstock with brown permanent ink and clear emboss, then colour the acorn caps with a dark brown water-soluble ink. Fussy cut all of the leaves and acorns.
Ink more cardstock with shades of red and orange water-soluble inks and stamp the maple leaves from the Hello Autumn stamp set onto the coloured card with a combination of brown and red permanent inks (stamp the large maple leaf twice and smaller maple leaf once). Clear emboss the stamped leaves and fussy cut.
Die cut a rectangle from black cardstock with Gina K. Designs Large Single Stitch Nested Rectangle dies, holding the die in place with iCraft Purple Tape. Rub white chalk over the die cut, heavier around the die cut stitched edges, and smooth the excess chalk off with your finger so that it looks like a chalkboard. Stamp the ‘Autumn is a second spring’ sentiment from the Hello Autumn stamp set onto the prepared die cut with clear embossing ink and emboss with a fine line white embossing powder.
Preheat your laminator and run a piece of Wheat Fields Clear Designer Toner Sheet through with Amber Watercolor Deco Foil Transfer Sheet. Adhere iCraft Easy Cut Adhesive to a piece of kraft cardstock and remove the adhesive backing paper from the Easy Cut Adhesive. Carefully apply the negative image Amber Watercolor Deco Foil left over from foiling the Wheat Fields Clear Toner Sheet, burnishing out any air bubbles or wrinkles with a soft cloth. Remove the Deco Foil carrying sheet and brush on some Perfect Pearl powder or other mica powder to cover any exposed adhesive. Wipe the foiled cardstock with a slightly damp cloth to remove the excess powder.
Cut the foiled Wheat Fields Clear Toner Sheet to size (about 4 1/2″ x 7″) and apply Memory Tape Runner XL double sided tape to the backside of the Clear Toner Sheet, applying the tape to the outer edges only. Adhere the foiled Clear Toner Sheet to a piece of kraft cardstock. Cut the negative image Amber Watercolor foiled cardstock so that it’s about 1/4″ larger on all sides (about 5″ x 7 1/2″) and adhere the Wheat Fields Clear Toner Sheet piece on top with Memory Tape Runner XL.
Cut a piece of corrugated black cardstock to about 5 1/2″ x 8″ and adhere the whole assembly on top with Memory Tape Runner XL. You can add an easel die cut to the back for displaying your finished piece or add a hanger to display it on the wall if you’d prefer.
Round two of the fussy cut stamped acorns with a ball stylus and adhere the shaped acorns on top of the remaining acorns with Zots 3D clear adhesive dots for some dimension.
Punch out some oak leaves from the coloured cardstock left over after stamping the Hello Autumn leaves and ink the edges with brown ink. Shape all the leaves with your fingers by bending the edges up and down to give them some dimension.
Arrange the chalkboard sentiment and the leaves on top of the prepared Clear Designer Toner Sheet background and adhere everything into place with either iCraft Mixed Media Adhesive or your Memory Tape Runner XL.
And that’s it, you are all done! Here are a few more pictures of the finished Second Spring fall mixed media panel.
