Project Instructions:

To get started, create a top folding card from white cardstock that measures 4″ x 5.25″. Round the two bottom corners with a corner rounder punch.

Starting from the top edge of the card, paint stripes randomly down the card front using iCraft Deco Foil™ Liquid Adhesive and an old junky paintbrush. Wash your paintbrush out immediately, and set the card aside until the adhesive is dry, yet tacky, to the touch.

Cut a sheet of red Deco Foil™ that is slightly larger than your card front. Place the foil down onto the adhesive, with the colored side up and the shiny silver side down. Gently burnish the foil using a soft cloth or the tip of your finger.

Peel up the foil sheet, and check out those awesome stripes you’ve just created.

Adhere the card front to a 4.25″ x 5.5″ piece of navy blue cardstock. Round the two bottom corners. This will give some extra structure to the card base, and help with any slight warping that may have occurred from the liquid glue, all while maintaining a crisp white card interior for writing your message.

Adhere a strip of navy cardstock across the center of the card using the XL Memory Tape Runner. Die cut stacking labels from red and white cardstock. Adhere the label to the center of the navy strip using foam adhesive. I used some leftover bits of Therm O Web’s iCraft Deco Foil Foam Adhesive sheet, as I don’t like to let anything go to waste.

Die cut a star from the Deco Foil Foam Adhesive. Peel off the backing, and place the star in the center of the label.

Peel off the top protective liner, and place a piece of silver star Deco Foil Transfer Sheet onto the star (with the colored side up and the shiny silver side down). Burnish the foil with a soft cloth, and then remove the foil transfer sheet.

Add a stamped sentiment, and you are done!

Plan to make for my 92 yr old mother who was in the Navy during WW II. Thanks for the inspiration!
