Rustic Burlap Bear Christmas Ornaments
Rustic Bear Burlap Christmas Ornaments
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Happy Holidays from Jedi Craft Girl! I’m stopping by to share this fun Christmas ornament project with you!
I’ve decorated my living room and dining room in rustic plaids and lots of trees!
These bear ornaments are perfect for your farmhouse style decor!
Ornament Supplies:
Heat n Bond Lite Fusible Adhesive
Plaid fabric
Burlap
Ribbon
Greenery
Hot Glue
Fiberfill
Rustic Bear Burlap Christmas Ornament Instructions:
Begin by printing out the bear pattern, click here. The bear will be positioned in reverse.
Trace the bear on to the Heat n Bond Lite.
Fuse the bear to the wrong side of the plaid fabric. Let cool.
Cut the bear out and peel off the backing paper.
Heat set the bear onto the burlap.
Pin two pieces of burlap together, pinning throughout the bear.
Using black thread, begin sewing toward the bear’s back and sew all the way around the bear. Stop near his back leg.
Cut out around the bear leaving a 1/8″ burlap border.
Using fiberfill, lightly stuff the bear and then continue sewing around the bear to close the opening.
To make an ornament hanger, tie a ribbon in a knot and hot glue to the back of the bear. Tie a bow and hot glue to the front of the ribbon. Cut a piece of greenery and hot glue to the neck of the bear.
Have fun mixing all different plaids and patterns together for a cozy rustic look!
Mufasa thinks it’s a new toy for him!

October 23, 2020 at 2:31 pm (4 years ago)Hello – I don’t see a way to contact customer service. I ordered the Gina K Designs Gnome kit recently and I printed my order confirmation. However I have not received an email notification. How can I verify the status of my order?

November 8, 2020 at 9:34 pm (4 years ago)what does the back look like? does the filling show through the burlap in the back?

November 9, 2020 at 3:18 pm (4 years ago)Hi Sandi…we don’t have an image of the backside but when we made ours…you just saw white through the burlap. You could always use a natural color filler.

December 5, 2020 at 1:53 am (4 years ago)I used scraps of red fabric (or whatever color matched the fabric i used on the front of the bear) and I also used scraps of burlap to stuff the bear, all from my scrap bag. Worked out great. Thanks for such a cute project, and for the great inspiration!
