Good Monday to you! We’re kicking off April with some fun with our friends at Ruby Rock-It! And even better..we’re working with their two brand new collections..Carnival King and Queen!
So sit back and enjoy…as we head to the Carnival!
Designer Erin Yamabe is going to kick things off this week with this amazing circle book!
There are many variations around of this fun circle book idea! At my local scrapbook store, there was a sample, so I did my best to recreate it…
Circle Idea Book by Erin Yamabe
Therm O Web Supplies:
Zots – 3D
Sticky Dot Runner
Mini Sticky Tape Runner
Foam squares
Super Tape – 1/2 inch and 1/4 inch
Other Supplies:
Ruby Rock-it Carnival King
Patterned papers
Party Picks
Diecuts
Garlands
Bling
Cardstock – Bazzill
Instructions:
Use any circle for your foundation, I chose a plate. Trace the plate onto a 12×12 piece of card stock, four times. For three of these circles, score
in the middle both vertically and horizontally. Below the midpoint on the lower left quarter, measure out 1/2 inch. Cut along the solid
lines, and score along the dotted lines as outlined. For the lower quarter, score in half.
For the fourth circle, score along the middle both vertically and horizontally as you did in the first three. Then, in the lower left quarter of the circle, mark a 1/2 inch to the left center, and cut out as outlined. For the lower quarter, score in half.
Cut out your patterned papers, embellishments and photos and work right on the flat circle pieces before assembling.
Fold the circle into a quarter circle, making sure the tab is on the bottom layer and add adhesive [Super Tape 1/2 inch] onto the tab. Fold the tab
over the circle, once you open the circle, it becomes a 3D shape.
Next, you will adhere the back of one circle to the front of the next. I used Super Tape 1/2 inch for these steps. Repeat until you have adhered all four circles together.
Thank you to Ruby Rock-it for this fun swap! Be sure to visit our friends at Ruby Rock-It and see more ideas for how to craft with the fun Carnival King and Queen paper crafting lines!
