Hello friends! As we shake off the winter cold and start looking toward spring (yeah I know it’s still a way away lol), what better way to get into the spirit than creating with a new Rina K. StampNStencil Sending Sunshine tropical set? This set has some really fun tropical images and pairs well with the new neon Flocks, Enamels, and Glitter Glitz as well as the new Rina K. Electro-Pop Neon inks. I hope these bright colors bring a smile and inspire you to jump into some fresh new makes for a fresh new year!
TROPICAL TAG
Tag Supplies:
Rina K. Designs StampNStencil Set – Sending Sunshine
Rina K Designs. Glitz Glitter Gel – Poppin’ Pink and Hello Yellow
iCraft UltraBond Liquid Adhesive
Deco Foil White Foam Adhesive
iCraft Purple Tape
Other Supplies: Rina K. Designs Electro-Pop Neon inks, cardstock, black ink, ribbon, black fine line pen and paintbrush
STEP ONE:
To begin, create your tag base, add ribbon and set aside. Next, use purple tape to secure a piece of white cardstock to your work surface. Next, create a background by stamping the different leaves and flowers using a variety of ink colors.
Hint: Stamping the objects in a triangle pattern is pleasing to the eye.
STEP TWO:
While your stamped cardstock is still secured, doodle around the stamped images with a fine line black pen. Make sure your black ink is completely dry before adding Glitter Glitz Gel. Add the Glitter Glitz Gel to the images using a paintbrush for that extra pop.
Hint: Don’t worry too much about your doodling; it actually looks better when the doodle is a little bit loosey-goosey.
STEP THREE:
For the final component to your tag, stamp the sentiment onto a strip of white cardstock using black ink and allow it to dry completely.
Once all components are dry, layer using Ultrabond Liquid Adhesive and Adhesive Foam Sheets to complete your tag.
Hint: If you have too many white areas on your doodled background, add extra elements such as dots, dashes or stars with your fine line black pen.
Use the same stamp set to create a crisper, clean shaker card while keeping your bright colors.
Happy creating!
