Ray of Sunshine
by Heather Collins
Rainbows make me happy. And when I saw this unfinished wooden sun I knew instantly that it was meant to be a rainbow sun. And that just makes me so happy and brightens my door.
I started this project with an Unfinished Wooden Sun and painted with a rainbow of colors with acyclic paints. One ray would be a solid color of the color I was hoping to have and then next would be a mixture of the two solid colors on either side. Then I let this dry overnight.

Then I took the iCraft Ultra Bond Liquid Adhesive and rubbed it onto the ray and let dry to till it was tacky. I also added iCraft Zots Clear Adhesive Dots Roll 325 count, Bling and added 5 to each of the solid rays. Then I took one sheet of each of the Gina K Designs Fancy Transfer Foil: Dusty Rose, Sunkissed Coral, Tangerine Twist, Lemon Drop, Fresh Asparagus, Powder Blue, Amazing Amethyst and rubbed lightly with my finger to transfer some of the foil. This gave an extra layer of color to the solid rays.
And just like that the project was done. And is it sticking and looks amazing…like a pop of sunshine on any day!
