Wonder Woman Halloween Costume Apron
I was super excited to create something different this year… an apron “Halloween Costume”. Wonder Woman was the first thing that came to mind but you could really do anything. I love the idea of using it for day to day chores and tasks too once the Halloween season is over.
Wonder Woman Halloween Costume Apron Supplies:
HeatnBond® Craft Weight Fusible
Gina K Fancy Foils Gold Sequins
3 fat Quarters 1 red and 2 blue
Aurifil Thread 50 wt thread #2620 White
Ribbon for ties
Wonder Woman Halloween Costume Apron Instructions:
Fabric Cutting and sewing instructions:
- Red Fat Quarter folded in half so that it is 11×18, adhere a piece of 11×18 HeatnBond® Craft Weight Fusible to one half of the Fat Quarter. The folded edge will be the top of the apron and the Craft Weight Fusible will give the top some stability.
- Sew the 2 blue fat quarters along the short sides so you will get one long piece 18×44. Gather the long edge and sew it sandwiched between the two bottom edges of the red fat quarter. Hem the blue bottom edge and add your ribbon ties. I used 3 yards for the tie around the middle and 18″ for the strap that goes around your neck.
3. Trace out or draw the wonder woman logo on the back of the Deco Foil Hot Melt Adhesive and cut it out and adhere to the center of the red fabric. Once it cools peel off the paper backing and apply the foil. Once the foil cools peel back the sheet and marvel at how awesome your project looks.
I hope you have been inspired to make your own apron. I would love to see what you come up with. Leave me a link and I will check it out. Have fun and Happy Halloween!
