Hi!

Chrissie here today! I am so happy to be sharing two fun cards I created using Thermoweb and Newton’s Nook products!

I’ve been a fan of Newton’s Nook for a long time, so I had a blast creating these cards.  Plus, I got to work with the New Dog Stamps and dies.  If you know me, you know puppies are right up my alley!

Puppy Love Cards

To create these cards, I started out by making my own backgrounds using stencils.  Don’t get me wrong, I like patterned paper as much as the next gal, but I LOVE creating my own backgrounds. I simply used stencils from Newton’s Nook (along with my Pixie Spray to hold them down, of course!).  I also flicked some water onto the stenciled images.  I like using my Catherine Pooler inks – they are nice and juicy, so I get great impressions each time and they are reactive with water.  It’s a win-win!

Next, I used a few sentiments and images from the Adhesive Transfers. These are super easy to use and like a modernized rub-on transfer without the rub-on.  Simply trim out the sentiment or image you want, peel off the clear backer, and place it on the cardstock.  Run it through a die-cutting machine (for pressure) or a laminator inside a carrier sheet.  Peel off the top sheet.

NOTE: the transfer is clear.  Then place foil down on the area and run it through the die cutting machine or laminator again (inside the carrier sheet).  That’s it! When you peel the foil off, the image is there, all nice and foiled up!

I colored in the adorable images using colored pencils and blending solution and die cut them out. All that was left was to assemble the cards, which I did using my XL Memory Runner and some 3D foam squares.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Make sure to use the hashtags #thermoweb and #decofoil so we can find you and your creations online!
