Hello everyone! This is Amanda from Twiddler’s Nook with a pumpkin card using some fun, non-traditional colors. The addition of the shiny foil really steps up this simple design and makes the “shine!” Let’s get started.
Pumpkin Thank You Card with Deco Foil
Products used:
Deco Foil – amethyst watercolor and peach princess
Peel-n-Stick Toner Sheets
Foam Adhesive Sheets
Tranquil Leaves Toner Card Front
3D Foam Tape
EZ Tear Tape – 1/8″
Craft & Carrier Sheets
Pretty Pink Posh Fall Envelopes stamps and dies
Pretty Pink Posh Pumpkin Border die
Distress Oxide – dusty concord
I heated up my laminator and ran the Tranquil Leaves toner card front through it with amethyst watercolor deco foil in a craft and carrier sheet. After I did that satisfying reveal of the foiling, I inked up the top part of the panel with dusty concord distress oxide ink and spritzed it with water.
With the laminator still hot and ready, I took a strip of peel-n-stick toner sheet and ran it through with peach princess deco foil, also in a craft and carrier sheet. This gave me a whole piece of gorgeous foil that I could cut into strips. The strips were about 1/4″ wide. I also cut pink and green to go with the foiled orange.
Next, I adhered a strip of white cardstock to one side of the foam adhesive sheet and then die-cut the Pretty Pink Posh Pumpkin Border from it. This makes my border a foam sticker and super easy to adhere to my card!
To assemble my card, I added the strips of plain cardstock with EZ Tear Tape and just peeled the release paper off the foiled strips to create a backer for my pumpkin border. Then I removed the foam release paper on that and adhered it down. I decided to trim the whole panel to 4×5.25 inches and added foam tape to the back to pop it up on a white card base.
After that was complete, I tied jute twine around the top of my card and tied it in a bow. I love adding rustic textures to shiny, glitz things. I think it’s a great balance.
Then for a sentiment, I stamped and heat embossed a small “many thanks” from Pretty Pink Posh Fall Envelopes and used the banner die in the set to cut it out. This is popped up with foam tape as well.
Here’s a great look at all the shiny foiling in the light. Isn’t it so pretty?!? I love the watercolor foils. They are stunning for any project!
I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!
