2 2013 Pinspiration- Cathedral Window Pillow

I really liked the cathedral window effect of this pillow and its striking color combination.  As you can see, I kept my note card much more simple and used layered and folded circles to get a similar effect without too much fuss.2 2013 Pinspiration CARD-Just a Note 2rev

1. Create a 5″x6″ card from cardstock and cut a 1″ wide strip to go across the front of the card.

2. Cut 9 circles from cardstock- 2″, 2.5″ and 3″: 2 gray and 1 black of each size.  Take 3 gray circles (each size) and mark the center points vertically and horizontally.  If available, use a grid ruled craft mat to find these points.  Then line up the marks and score to create a square within each circle.  Fold the edges of the circles as shown above.

3. Next, cut 3 pattern paper squares to fit inside each scored circle.  Use the Mini Tape Runner to adhere the circles inside.

4. Apply Mini Tape Runner Adhesive to the back of these scored circles and adhere them to the center of the other gray circles.

5. Machine stitch around the layered circles so that the stitching just catches each folded corner.

6. Again use the Mini Tape Runner to adhere the black cardstock circles to the front of the card.  Then, apply 3D Zots to the back of each of the assembled gray circles and layer on top of the corresponding black circle.

7. Create a punched flower with brads and adhere this to the center of the medium circle also using 3D Zots.

8. To complete the card, stamp a sentiment onto white cardstock, trim and apply more 3D Zots to the back to adhere just below the paper strip.
