Pint Sized Applique Pumpkin Frame by Patti Milazzo
Therm O Web Supplies:
Therm O Web Zots™ – Small
Therm O Web Glitter Dust™ – Gold
Therm O Web HeatnBond® Lite Iron On Adhesive
Other Supplies:
Fabric scraps, hemp, acrylic paint and craft wood frame.
Instructions:
Begin by first painting and distressing the craft wood frame. Set aside to dry.
Cut a piece of fabric that fits the background chipboard of the frame. Set this aside.
Next trace or draw the 3 ovals or circles (or a mix) on to the paper side of the HeatnBond® Lite. These will form the body of the pumpkin. Also trace shapes for leaves and the stem.
Iron the HeatnBond® pieces onto scraps of fabric and then cut out. Peel off the paper backing and begin the process of layering and stitching these pieces to the background fabric. Continue until the pumpkin is complete and all stitching is done.
Iron on another piece of HeatnBond® Adhesive to the background fabric, remove the paper and iron the front to adhere the appliquéd piece to the chipboard.
Lightly spray the pumpkin with Therm O Web Gold Glitter Dust™ for a little sparkle.
Tie a bow with hemp and adhere it to the pumpkin stem with a Small Zot™ to complete.
