Easter Treat Holders by Patti Milazzo
Therm O Web Supplies:
Therm O Web Mini Runner – Tape
Therm O Web Zots – Small
Therm O Web Zots – Medium
Therm O Web 3D Adhesive Foam – Squares
Other Supplies: 12” cardstock, assorted cardstock scraps, feathers, buttons, 12” lengths of ribbon,
Instructions:
- With a 12 x 12 piece of white cardstock, score/fold up 3.5” and crease. This will create a pocket for the front. Then score/fold the 3.5” on each side, wrapping the sides around the back and crease. The scoring can be done using a board/tools or simply by eye, it does not need to be exact.
- Next use Medium Zots to adhere and secure the back folds in place.
- Hole punch the 2 top corners to add ribbon later.
- Cut 2 strips of white cardstock and 2 strips of pink cardstock that is ½” narrower. These will be the bunny’s ears. Use a corner rounder punch on the top corners. Apply Mini Runner Adhesive Tape to the back of the pink strips and layer the pink onto the white strips.
- Apply Medium Zots to the bottom front of the ears and secure them inside the pocket. Bend them a bit for that cute, floppy look!
- Punch a pink oval for cottontail’s nose and apply Therm O Web’s Adhesive Foam Squares to the back. Remove backing and apply the oval to the center of the front pocket.
- Apply Small Zots to the back of buttons and adhere the eyes just above and along the side of his nose.
Note: For the chick, adhere a triangle beak punched from orange cardstock also using Adhesive Foam Squares. The feathers were “sandwiched” between 2 ovals with Medium Zots, then the sandwiched cardstock ovals were adhered inside the pocket in the same way as the bunny ears, using Zots.
- Attach a 12” strip of ribbon to the top of the treat holder to complete. Then fill with whatever sweets & fun treats you like!
These treat holders can be made as simply as they are here or more elaborately for party favors. Either way, they make a great “go to” craft for little ones during the holidays or any time of the year.
Happy Spring & Happy Easter!
