Outdoorsy Retirement Cards

Retirement Themed Cards with Deco Foil Flock, Deco Foil, and Toner Card Fronts

I started by cutting my deer dies with our Tuscan Gold Deco Flock and assembling the design. This outdoor-themed stamp and die set is by Diamond Press.

Next using the coordinating stamp set, I stamped a beautiful mountain background scene.

Using the bear die I cut out the center of the scene.

Next, I foiled the toner card front from Brutus Monroe with our Emerald Watercolor foil. I cut out the center rectangle so I could use the outer negative die as a frame on the second card.

Next, using a woodgrain embossing folder, I embossed the white cardstock. I layered the foiled toner card front die and then added the flocked deer die cut with our 3D foam squares.

Here’s the finished card with my sentiment stamped in coordinating brown in and adhered with our 3D foam squares. I love how that emerald green foil pops.

Taking the negative image of the Bear die-cut off the stamped scene I created, I also used the negative border from the die-cut toner card front and used it as a frame around the scene.

Turning the card front over, I adhered to the negative foil sheet so that it filled the die-cut shape of the bear. I then mounted it to white cardstock with our 3D foam squares. A quick and beautiful result.

I encourage you to find creative ways to use the negative foil sheets from your projects! Adhering them behind your die-cut images is just one of the fun things you can do.
