Our Camp Scrapbook Layout

Hello everyone! Jessica here with a layout featuring the all new Deco Foil Toner Sheets and Deco Foil! I’ve used them in my layout to document a sweet photo of my boys at our campsite! Read on to find out how this came together or check out the YouTube process video below!

I started this layout by pulling out a sheet of white cardstock and my manual die cutting machine with hexagon dies. I grabbed my toner sheets and ink blended some distress oxides and inks onto them in an ombre look and then splattered with water to create a marbled effect. I dabbed it up with a paper towel and then sandwiched the toner sheets and a sheet of bronze deco foil between a craft and carrier sheet to run through my hot laminator. While that was running through, I started cutting out my hexagons from the Let’s Go Camping collection by Echo Park from  various paper scraps.

I matted my photo with some smooth white cardstock using my Memory XL Tape Runner and ran out while doing this so I had to throw a refill in it. I am amazed at how easy it is to replace the refills in this tape runner! You simply pop the pink part apart into two pieces and insert the new refill and close it back up. SO EASY! It is by far the easiest tape runner to refill that I’ve ever used. I matted my photo with one of the patterned papers from the collection with my tape runner again once I was done refilling it. I then just simply distressed the edges. I finished cutting my hexagons out of my toner sheets when they came out of my laminator.

Next, I began placing my hexagons down in a vertical design with my tape runner and my Jumbo tape roll in the 1/16 size, popping only some of the hexagons for dimension. I love these jumbo tape rolls too because you just simply cut off the size that you need. I ended up using the 1/8 size to pop up my photo so it was a little higher than my hexagons! I also used a couple pieces to pop up the tail ends of my banner embellishment I placed at the top of my photo so it didn’t get squished down once I added it into my album.

I decided to do a bit of stamping using some Echo Park stamp sets and some black Archival Ink. I stamped in some random spots around my layout and then added some black splatters in black Heidi Swapp Color Shine.

I added a few more embellishments and some alphas and doodling to finish off my title. This one came together so quickly and just look at that beautiful shine on those toner sheets! I have a process video the Thermoweb YouTube channel if you’d like to see how this came together.
