Hello everyone, it’s Mona here, in my newest tutorial I am going to show you how to create glittery Ombre cards with Glitz Glitter Gels in various colors.
Ombre Cards with Glitz Glitter Gel
For this project, I prepared some 110lb heavyweight Neenah solar white cardstocks. I cut them in 5.5 by 4.25 inches.
I picked various stencils from my stash, check the full list of supplies below this post. I sprayed on them with the one and only Pixie Spray, so my stencils will not move while I am creating through them.
If you are like me and you like to mix and match colors, then I encourage you to try this out. It’s super easy and the result is amazing and super sparkly!
Ombre Color Combinations
I have picked some Glitz Glitter Gel Colors and added to each of them a touch of gold for a uniform look. I named the combos just for fun. They are the following:
1) Blue Lagoon: Brilliant Blue + Turquoise sea + Gold
2) Calm Oasis: Gold + Turquoise Sea + Screaming Green
3) Dragon Island: Wild Lilac + Gold +Lovely Lavender
As you can see, I just added the colors through the stencil and without overthinking it. Then I put my Stencil Pal on it and pulled up and down a few times to mix the glitz glitter gel colors.
When it was done, I let it dry for a few hours. If you like these combos feel free to use these mixes next time, they are super sparkly and beautiful.
Because my backgrounds are sparkly and shiny, I decided that the other parts will be as clean and simple as possible.
Therefore, I just die-cut sentiments with shadows from Heffy Doodle from white and colorful heavyweight cardstock, then adhered them together with Ultra Bond Adhesive.
And these are my finished card designs. If you like them tell in your comment which one is your favorite.
This was my last post as a designer here and I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who commented on my posts and videos, it was amazing 2 years at Therm O Web, and I was really happy to inspire you here.
