Love is in the air. Can you feel it? Amy, here from Sew Incredibly Crazy,
bringing you a no sew project that you can make in an afternoon.
Cute little napkin rings.
You could also use them to make a banner, or to make as tags for that special gift.
The supplies you will need are:
Supplies:
Fabric for the fronts of the hearts: I used the fabric line Moda Sweetwater First Crush. You will need four 5″ squares for four napkin rings
Fabric for the backs of the hearts: Four 5″ squares of a coordinating color for four napkin rings
A scrap piece of batting – I had a scrap piece of HeatnBond® High Loft Fusible Fleece
Buttons
Ribbon – to use as napkin ring – Cut 6 1/2″ for each
String – butchers twine works well
I used a cutter to cut my hearts, but you can use a template.
*This is definitely a kid friendly craft because there is no worry of hot glue*
Instructions:
First, you need to cut out your hearts: Two large & two small.
I then cut out a piece of HeatnBond® High Loft Fusible Fleece to fit in the center of the larger heart. I ironed it in place.
Next, I added a small bead of Fabric Fuse Liquid Adhesive around the outside edge of the heart. This doesn’t have to be perfect.
Then, just make a little heart sandwich, finger pressing around the edge to make sure all the edges are glued down.
Do the same with the smaller hearts.
Add the back to the smaller heart.
Adding Fabric Fuse Liquid Adhesive on to the back side of the smaller heart.
Center it over the larger heart and press down.
Thread the button with your butcher twine, thread, or ribbon of you choice.
Put a bit of Fabric Fuse Liquid Adhesive to the back side of the button.
Press the button into place.
Add a bit of Fabric Fuse™ Liquid Adhesive on the knot of the bow, so it will not untie.
Use Fabric Fuse Liquid Adhesive on the end of the ribbon you are going to use as your napkin ring.
Fold it over onto itself making a ring.
Apply Fabric Fuse™ Liquid Adhesive in the backside center of the larger heart.
Press the joining area of the ribbon on to the glue.
This completes of napkin ring. Let them dry several hours or overnight.
Repeat as many time as your heart desires.
A great craft that you can completely quickly and add a little heart to your table.
