Hello friends! I’m so excited to be here with you today as part of the Therm O Web and Waffleflower team up! They have some of the most adorable and whimsical stamps out there.

Today I’m sharing two cards I created using their Smiling Stamp set. I used a no line watercoloring technique and then added some dimension using Therm O Web iCraft Deco Foil White Foam Adhesive. You can check out all the details below!

No Line Watercoloring Technique

Before we begin, you might be asking yourself, what is no line watercoloring? It’s simply a way to stamp and then color the image without a harsh stamped line showing.  To achieve this effect, stamp your image with a very light colored ink such as Distress Oxide in Antique Linen. Next, color in the image using watercolor markers.  I recommend stamping the image onto watercolor paper if you plan to color your image with watercolor markers.

To add more detail to the image, sharpen your colored pencils and add some detail strokes.

Adding Dimension with Foam Adhesive

One of the things, I loved about this Smiling Stamp Set from Waffleflower is how you can layer the images. You can stamp the large images and use them all alone or you can stamp the smaller images and layer them on top of the large image to achieve some depth and dimension. To add to this dimension, we’re going to use Therm O Web’s iCraft Deco Foil White Foam Adhesive.

Take the dies for the images you want to layer and die cut the Foam Adhesive with them. Peel off the liner and adhere them to the back side of your die cut stamped images. This will add a bit of dimension to these pieces when you adhere them to your card.

For this card, I popped up the large image and the smaller layers with the iCraft Deco Foil Foam Adhesive Sheets.  It adds a subtle bit of dimension without a lot of bulk if you plan to mail your card.

For this card, I only layered the smaller pieces…the large flowers, the hat, and the scarf.
