Starfield-Cosmic Newton by Shemaine Smith
I chose to create with the Newton’s Nook Stencils and coordinating stamps because I knew they would pair perfectly with our Deco Foil Transfer Gel and Deco Foils.
I used some Purple tape to hold the Newton’s Nook Starfield stencil in place and a spatula to spread the transfer gel over my cardstock. Then I let it dry. The transfer gel does completely dry within an hour but I prefer to let it dry overnight.
Designer Tip: I usually cut several pieces of cardstock to stencil with the transfer gel and let them dry and then file them away for later use.TooltipTextTo create the background for my card, I used some of our new Purple Tape to hold the Newton’s Nook Starfield stencil in place and a spatula to spread the transfer gel over my cardstock. Then I let it dry. The transfer gel does completely dry within an hour but I prefer to let it dry overnight.
Designer Tip: I usually cut several pieces of cardstock to stencil with the transfer gel and let them dry and then file them away for later use.TooltipTextNext, cut a piece of deco foil slightly larger than your cardstock (mine is cut 4 X 5 1/3 ) and run it through your laminator.
Peel back the foil to reveal the amazing results of Newton’s Nook Starfield stencil design! So beautiful and textured!
I chose the rocket ship to color with Copic markers and framed with an oval frame die. To adhere them to the front of my card, I used 3D WHITE FOAM SQUARES • COMBO PACK.
For my second card, I used the same technique but this time I used Newton Loves Coffee and the Pawprints Stencil.
A Birthday Brew by Shemaine Smith
For my second card, I used the same technique but this time I used Newton Loves Coffee and the Pawprints Stencil. After the I applied the DECO FOIL™ TRANSFER GEL and let it dry overnight, I foiled the Pawprints stencil with DECO FOIL™ TRANSFER SHEETS • PEWTER.
I stamped my images and cut them out to adhere to my card base. I used some of the smaller images in the set to create a background collage.
Thank you for stopping by today!
Shemaine
