I started this layout by pulling out the woodgrain paper by Cocoa Vanilla Studio No Limits collection. I decided to use the Deco Foil Metallix Gel in Black Ice with the Newton’s Nook Bubbly Stencil for the bottom portion of my layout to resemble falling dirt since my photos are of my son playing in the dirt pile!

I adhered the stencil to my paper using Pixie Tape and then got very smooth coverage on the gel using the stencil pal. I just love the Stencil Pal and how any medium seems to glide right on with it.

Here you can really see the texture of the Gel and all that sparkle! It’s absolutely stunning! I’ve used a border punch to punch out tiny little hearts to scatter about my page and adhered them using the Bling Zots which were perfect size!

I added some strips of paper that I tore from a leftover scrap and then sewn around the tops of them. I then used several of the stamps from the Love Quarry stamp set by Newton’s Nook and used the coordinating die set to cut them out on my Big Shot. I colored in the stamps using my old Copic Markers. I was excited to pull those out as I don’t get to use them much!

Next, I went to work on my title and discovered something AMAZING. Did you know you can STAMP on top of FLOCK? Oh my goodness, GAME CHANGER! I cut my title using dies from Elle’s Studio and my big shot on the iCraft foam adhesive sheets then peeled the top side and adhered to the Teal Waters Flock which was a perfect shade to match my layout! This fuzzy goodness came out perfect after running through my Big Shot and then I stamped on top using Archival Black Ink. Did I mention how much I love those letters? Major heart eyes over here!

I thought the top was missing just a little something so I added some hearts from Elle’s Studio Heart Dies ran through my Big Shot in coordinating scraps that I had leftover from this layout. I added a border around the page thanks to our Miss Katrina for the idea! Then I simply added a few embellishments from the CVS No Limits collection and VOILA! Done!

There is a process video on YouTube if you’d like to see exactly how this came together:

Thank you for being here today and I hope I was able to inspire you to create!
