Often when wrapping a gift, I’ll ask my husband or one of the kids to use their finger to hold the ribbon in place while I tie the bow… I bet you’ve done this too. Problem is that during the holidays I usually find myself wrapping gifts late at night all by myself – long after the kids (and my husband!) are fast asleep… does this sound familiar?

I found myself in this same situation a few nights ago… lots of bows to tie and no one to lend a hand (or finger). That is when I had the sudden inspiration to enlist the help of one of my favorite adhesives… ZOTS™ to the rescue!

I set out my supplies – including a bunch of  ZOTS™ Singles – and got to work. Having each adhesive dot on its own sheet makes it easy to apply them assembly line style.

First, I placed a ZOT in the spot where I wanted the bow to be…

then I tied the ribbon and the ZOT held it perfectly in place… and the ZOT didn’t complain once, or tell me that it would be there to help in “just a minute”… the perfect gift wrapping companion! Wish I had thought of this years ago.

and violà!

Another one of my Therm O Web friends was a huge help in adhering the wrap to each gift – Mr. Sticky Dot Runner.

I love using an adhesive runner on smaller gifts because a) it’s much faster and b) it’s a much cleaner look – no unsightly tape showing on the outside of your package.

These little time savers might not seem like they would make much difference, but a few seconds here and there really add up… especially when you have a big pile of presents to wrap!

Supplies: ZOTS™ Singles, Sticky Dot Runner, assorted music papers, Stylish Sentiments: Holiday clear stamps (Papertrey Ink), Cocoa Ink (Close To My Heart)

Wishing you all a wonderful holiday – I’ll be back to help kick off 2012 on New Year’s Day!
