This style mini album has so many places to tuck in photos, journaling, and other keepsakes.

The foundation of this album is three pieces of 10″x10″ cardstock that are scored and folded as follows:

3-panels

The panels on the end are folded so that the diagonal lines form “mountain” folds and the one in the center is a “valley”. The full squares overlap like this –

overlap-panels

and are adhered with iCraft tape.

This is what the base looks like with the three panels attached to each other.

Each of the squares and triangles on the inside is covered with assorted papers, photos, and stickers. Cut two 5 1/8″ x 5 1/8″ chipboard squares to use as the front and back covers and cover with paper. SuperStik works really well for this as it forms a tight bond between the paper and chipboard.

Adhere two lengths of ribbon to the cardstock panel that will become the cover. Attach the chipboard cover using iCraft tape. The ribbons wrap around the closed album and tie in the front.

One of the decorative elements inside the album is a quote that was printed on vellum. When it is adhered to the patterned paper using our Vellum tape runner, the adhesive is practically invisible.

Here is what the panels look like when the book is open and laying flat. This book has three panels, but you could keep adding additional pages by overlapping the full squares, as shown above.
