Mixed Media Spooky Selfie Halloween Tag Instructions:
Tear or cut two strips of Mixed Media Art Tape that are slightly wider than the tag. Lay the Heart Lace background stamp face up onto your work surface, and ink the stamp with Dusty Concord Distress Ink. Spritz the stamp lightly with water using a Distress Sprayer, and then press the front of the Art Tape onto the stamp. Repeat with the second piece of tape. Spray the stamp liberally with the Distress Sprayer again, and press the bottom half of the art tag onto the stamp to get up all the residual ink left on the stamp. Allow the tag and Art Tape strips to dry.
Ink the Art Tape paper with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink using an ink blending tool, and then tear the Art Tape paper into strips. Remove the backing from the Art Tape, and place the strips in random fashion across the bottom third of the tag. Go ahead and overlap and crisscross the strips in good old mummy wrap fashion, leaving gaps in spots to show the color underneath.
Stamp the mummy image above the strips of Art Tape using Raven Detail Ink. Cut two 1″ strips of patterned paper. Punch a scalloped border along the edge of one of the strips. Ink both pieces of paper with the purple Distress Ink. Adhere the scalloped border strip behind the bottom edge of the tag using XL Memory Tape runner. Adhere the second strip along the top edge of the Art Tape. Trim off the excess from the sides, as needed.
Place the Folkwave Mixed Media Stencil over the top portion of the tag, and lightly ink around the image using Wilted Violet Distress Ink and an ink blending tool.
Watercolor the mummy using a variety of Distress Inks, and add a bit of splatter to the tag with the remaining ink.
Embellish the tag with cardstock stickers adhered with Therm O Web 3D Adhesive Squares. Tie twine around the bottom of the tag.
Apply Glossy Accents to the camera and the mummy’s eyes, teeth, and tongue. Adhere Brutus Monroe Flatback Bubble accents with the Glossy Accents. Allow to dry.
Happy Halloween!
