Hi everyone, it’s Audrey. Welcome back to another fun day of Therm O Web holiday projects with our product partner this week, Little Yellow Bicycle. I know that for me, I’m always in need of cards at this time of year, so today I’m sharing two festive cards with you that I made with the help of my Therm O Web adhesives and LYB’s holiday collection, Making Merry.

AudreyPettit LYB Making Merry Santa CardWe Believe in Santa Card by Designer Audrey Pettit

Supplies:
Therm O Web Mini Tape Runner
Therm O Web 3D Adhesive Squares
Therm O Web Zots™ Clear Adhesive Dots- Large
Therm O Web Fabric Fuse Tape

Little Yellow Bicycle Making Merry Collection:
Swedish Floral/Ornate Chalk Frame 12×12 Paper
Red Snow Spool/Green Ticking 12×12 Paper
Ribbon Stripe/Grey Snow Spool 12×12 Paper
Journaling Cards
Paper Crafting Kit
Chipboard Shapes
Vellum Tape
Trim: May Arts, Craft Supply
Buttons: Rusty Pickle

I think my most favorite piece from the Making Merry collection is that adorable little elf from the chipboard shapes, so I built the design of my first card all around him. Since he’s on the small side, I knew I needed to create a bit of framework to draw the attention to him, which I did here with layered journaling cards and banner flags. Adhering the elf with Therm O Web 3D Adhesive Squares adds some eye catching dimension, too.

The sentiment was created from the vellum tape stickers, layered onto a fishtail banner made from a thin strip of patterned paper, and then onto a band of grosgrain ribbon. Therm O Web Fabric Fuse Tape holds the ribbon secure with no slipping, while Large Zots hold fast the banner and buttons.

Naturals Scalloped Circles

Clear Bubble Cap: Epiphany Crafts
Border Punch: Fiskars

For my second card, I pulled out papers in my favorite frosty grey to create a happy card in a bit of a different holiday color palette.

For this card, I layered two patterned papers onto the background, edging the top print with scallops created with a border punch and ruffled trim held securely with Fabric Fuse Tape. I added machine stitching and tiny embroidered french knots for extra detail, then added several strips of trims and fun polka dottie vellum tape.

The stitched poinsettia from the Paper Crafting Kit is topped by an epoxy sticker and added to the scalloped circles using 3D Adhesive Squares. Large Zots hold the additional layers in place. A fancy sentiment and Clear Cut bird finish things off. Looking for a way to adhere clear transparencies without the adhesive showing? Try a small strip of 1/8″ SuperTape placed in a strategic area. Works every time!

thanks for the tip on adhering clear pieces. I always have trouble using vellum. Glad to get the idea of using the clear for something like the bird – I have colored vellum, need to get it out and use it. Both cards are so pretty. So many layers. Having the adhesive pop-up pieces have made layering so easy. thanks for sharing.
