Happy New Year to all my sewing friends!  I hope you had wonderful holidays and maybe you’re like me… ready for a quick craft to get the creative juices flowing again?   One of my favorite quick projects to make out of my favorite scraps are book markers!  I especially like printing up some little phrases to sew onto them and I think it makes for a great little gift for a special friend.

The supplies are simple and the project is so easy!  I have a full step by step tutorial that you can download here.  It is free and you can save it to your computer to use anytime in the future!

Let’s get started by gathering everything you need!

Supplies

One of my very favorite Thermoweb products is the HeatnBond EZPrint.  If you have not used this before, this is the perfect project to get your started!  It such a simple process… you iron your EZPrint sheet to the back of an 8.5″ x 11″ piece of light colored fabric, place it in your printer just like it was a piece of paper and you can print right to the fabric and…. just like that you’ve created a perfect iron patch!!! I have a printable with book mark words that you can download here…. or you can make your own!

It’s just such a fun way to have personalize iron on patches for anything you sew!

I love the entire process of making book markers.  And I hope you’ll download my tutorial and make some too!  It’s just as easy to make one as it is to make ten!

Thank you to all of you readers for following along this past year.  I spent some time over the holidays making plans for new projects in 2026 and I’m eager to share with you!
