Paper pillow tucks are a fun and easy home decor project, and are a great way to add a festive, seasonal touch to your home for the holidays. Today I have a sweet Valentine idea to share with you, perfect for dressing up your home for the month of February, or for gifting to that special someone in your life.

AudreyPettit Thermoweb DecoFoil LoveValentinePillow4Creating a paper pillow follows the same basic principle as making one from fabric. Simply cut two pieces of paper in whatever shape you wish, one for the top and one for the bottom. I used a heart pattern, but you could use any number of shapes or images, die cut or traced from a template. Google Images has tons of patterns you can download for free. Add a tiny amount of Therm O Web tape runner to the very edges of your shapes, leaving the center of the images loose for filling. Stitch most of the way around the outside of the pillow, leaving a small opening to stuff with polyfill fiber before stitching all the way closed.

Tie your pillow with your favorite ribbons or trim, then embellish as you choose. I added a glassine envelope dressed up with a Valentine journaling card, doily, stickers, and candy dots. The love die cut is embellished with our amazing new iCraft® Deco Foil™ Transfer Sheets. Here’s how.

Apply a small piece of Therm O Web iCraft® Deco Foils™ White Double-Sided Adhesive Foam to a scrap piece of plain cardstock. Die cut the foam using a sentiment die or your choice. I used the pretty script love phrase die from Sizzix.

Remove the top protective liner from the foam and then press the Deco Foil onto the adhesive, colored side of the foil up. Burnish the foil with your finger, or the back of a spoon, making sure to press over the entire surface. Then remove the foil and look at your beautiful handiwork.

AudreyPettit Thermoweb DecoFoil LoveValentinePillow3Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone!
