Layout Details

This layout started with that Love Blooms toner sheet and grew from there.  So I knew I would probably have a grungy look going with a camping theme and that khaki paper.  I picked out a brown ink and stamped the Chatterbox background stamp twice down the length of my page. I managed to line it up pretty well!  LOL LOL

Here lately I have been trying to use my 6×6 paper pads on my layouts!  Sometimes they are easy to match up and look seamless, sometimes not!  This time was a go and I used my Memory Runner XL to line two of them down my background page.

After getting those two pieces of paper down, I started planning my layout and where things were going.  I wanted to create a “scene” from a stamp set, so I placed all the stamps I wanted to use out, so that I could get a visual of what I needed!  I didn’t do this scene exactly, but similar.

Once I had an idea of what I was using, I stamped my images and then colored them with my Zig markers.  Once colored, I die-cut them using the matching dies for each stamp.

The Pixie tape is a STAPLE for anyone that die cuts!  It never fails to hold my dies in place.

Here is how that scene turned out.  I fell in love with it!  I used the various thicknesses of the 3D Foam Tape Rolls to give different dimensions to my pieces.

FOILING FUN

Next, I went to foil my pieces that needed foiled!  I choose the Gina K Radiant Red Fancy Foil for the Love Blooms toner sheet.  The “Happy” I decided on Shattered Glass in Gold DecoFoil.  I did die-cut the “happy” before foiling it.  I LOVE that there are matching dies for all the sizes of happy on the toner sheet!

Look how pretty that foil came out!!!

When I went to put the layout together the foil was a little bright and I wanted to tone it down. Vellum to the rescue!

I love the slight hint of shine around the edges of the vellum and then the hearts under the vellum.  I need to try this more often!

The last thing for me to do was create my title.  I had already foiled my “happy”, so I just inked it to change the color.  The DecoFoil Flock in Midnight matched my paper colors perfectly!  So, I grabbed my new favorite alpha dies and cut out the word ‘campers’ using the Easy Cut Adhesive sheets, attached to a piece of cardstock.  Make sure you cut the letters with the sticky side and the letters facing correctly.  To transfer any type of foil or flock, you will need to lay that sticky side down to transfer that medium.

Once my letters were die-cut, I peeled off the protective covering and laid the sticky side down on top of my flock transfer sheet.  After running this through my die-cut machine to transfer the flock, I carefully peeled back the letters from the flock.  I used the Ultra Bond pen to adhere to those skinny letters.

How adorable are those flocked letters?  This is one of my favorite ways to use flock!

I hope I gave you another idea on how to use your loved theme products!!!  And you need the LOVE BLOOMS toner sheets!!!  Happy Scrapping!
