Valentine’s Day Card

Valentine’s Day will soon be here, and whether you’re in need of a romantic Valentine card, or more of a friendly ‘Galentine’ design, I’ve got a fun blending technique to try using our GinaK Designs Glitz Glitter Gel.

To begin, cover an A2 card base with patterned paper, and create a focal panel using a cut-apart journaling card and stickers. Cut a 4″ x 5.25″ piece of Luxury White cardstock to use for layering.

Spray Pixie Spray on Stencil

Spray the back of a heart stencil with Pixie Spray, and then set the stencil aside until the spray dries and becomes tacky to the touch.

Place the stencil down onto the cardstock. The Pixie Spray will keep both the paper and the stencil securely in place. Apply Red Velvet Glitz Glitter Gel to the top third of the panel. Clean off your palette tool, and apply Bubblegum Gel to the bottom third of the panel.

Mix Glitz Glitter Gel

Mix a bit of both Glitz Glitter Gel colors onto a work surface. Apply the mixture to the middle third of the cardstock panel.

While you are at it, mask off the top of the flap of an envelope with Purple Tape, re-position the stencil and apply Glitz Gel to the envelope flap. Allow the gels to dry completely, and then adhere the focal panel to the center of the card using foam tape.

The ombre effect you get from blending the Glitz Gels together is so subtle and pretty, and I love that you can mix the gels to create whole new color varieties of glitter. So easy, and so fun to do!

Enjoy!
