This week we’re sharing crafts that are perfect to keep the kids entertained while on summer break! So be sure to join us all week and enter to win too!
Kids love to collect things and I’m always on the lookout for new ways to display their collections.
Seashell Frame
This frame is a quick and easy craft for kids to make that doubles as a way to display favorite seashells from a trip to the beach. All you need is a frame (I picked up this one for about $1), some seashells, Therm O Web Sticky Lines, and 3D Zots™.
Sticky Lines work like hot glue, only without the mess and are much safer and easier for kids. Simply cover the frame with Sticky Lines and peel back the protective covering to expose the adhesive…
then start covering the frame with shells. This project would also work well using buttons, bottle caps, Legos, or any number of other tiny things kids love to collect.
If you want to layer shells on top of the base layer to help cover up any empty spots, 3D Zots™ works well.
Once the frame was covered with shells, there were still a few tiny spots where the adhesive was showing through the gaps. I sprinkled glitter over the top and it filled in the spaces… sand would be great for this too.
This was so easy to make – perfect for kids of any age – and looks great filled with your favorite beach photo.
