We’re fortunate and you know why? We have a very talented gal by the name of Audrey Yeager on our design team. And what is even more unique..(if you haven’t noticed)..she is on both our paper and fabric team!

We asked Audrey to share a bit about herself with you today and we hope you enjoy it as much as we have!

10 Questions with Audrey:

1. If you had to chose between being a paper or fabric crafter what would it be and why?

If I HAD to chose between being a paper crafter or a fabric crafter, I would have to say paper at this time in my life. I love to document my kids lives, and I want them to have pages with photos and writing to look back on so they can remember some of the important and fun stories that happened. However, fabric crafting and making quilts and clothing seems to produce more practical products, and it seems like a gifted quilt might get much more love over the years than a scrapbook page!

2. Go to color for decor/projects?

My “go-to” color in my crafting is probably teal. You can use it in just about any season and it works so well for both “boy” themed and “girl” themed pages! In my decorating (which at this point in my life means legos on the floor and forts in the living room), mostly consists of greys and neutrals. And then I like to add pops of colors with throw pillows, art, flowers, and more!

3. Name something you’re wanting to achieve or do from your bucket list?

I have a LOT of bucket list things! Most of them have to do with traveling. I have NOT traveled very much since having children. I would mostly like to see a lot of the western US that I haven’t been to.

4. Favorite Vacation?

My favorite vacation is one without kids! Haha! But in all seriousness, every fall we rent a different cabin in the Adirondacks during peak foliage change. We are a bit unplugged and we love to go hiking on different mountains.

5. Are you a book reader? If so favorite book(s)?

I am not much of a reader, but I used to be. When I start a book I end up binge reading and trying to get the whole book finished, and nothing else gets done at home.

6. We heard you’re returning back to work..tell us what you’ll be doing?

I am so excited that after 7 years as a stay at home mom, I will be returning to work part time. I will be teaching AP Biology to seniors and juniors at a small, independent school in central NY state. I previously taught this course, Environmental Science, and NYS Regents Biology in a school district nearby.

7. If you could support one charity..what one is closet to your heart?

If I had to support one charity, it would be something local. And I wouldn’t support it with money, per se, but with volunteering my time and energy!

8. Favorite flavor of ice cream?

Ice Cream is my MOST favorite dessert. Above pie, cake, or cookies! I love anything with chocolate and peanut butter!

9. Two words to describe yourself?

Two words: Crafty Intellectual

10. If you were a fish what would you be and why?

If I were a fish, I would be a cuttlefish (OK, technically a mollusk, but who’s keeping track?). A cuttlefish adapts quickly to it’s surroundings and is also known as the “chameleon of the sea”. It is one of the most highly intelligent invertebrates (which actually isn’t saying much! Lol!).

Audrey recently made a video of her craft room and we asked her if we could share it with you! Here’s a peek into how and where Audrey crafts and how she keeps things organized too!
