It's Fall Ya'll with Therm-O-Web!!!

Hello, Crafty Friends! Heather here today. Fall is almost upon us! It is my favorite time of year, and Therm O Web has some amazing Deco Foil and Gina K. Designs card fronts for this season! They also have an incredible line of transfer foil colors, Color Harmony! The Deco Foil Toner Card Fronts “Harvest” come with two designs, a card full of beautiful leaves and an array of pumpkins, squash, etc. Gina K. Designs has several new Foil-Mates Card Fronts, and some of them can be used for every season, like “Polka Party”!

As you will see, I used A LOT of different colors from the Color Harmony Packs, including Shades of Brown, Pink, Orange, Red, and Gold! I also used Deco Foil Transfer Foil in “Firelight,” as well! I wanted to use the stamp set Honey Bear from The Sassy Club Stamps and I ended up using it for both cards! This bear is one of my favorites!

For my first card, I used the Sassy Club Honey Jar die and the Honey Jar add on, which turns the jar into a shaker! I thought the Deco Foil, “Firelight”, looked a lot like honey (but shiny)! First, I placed a sheet of Deco Foil Solid Black Toner and a sheet of Deco Foil “Firelight” in a Deco Foil Craft & Carrier Sheet and ran it through the Fuse Foiling System (level 4) so that I can use it to die cut all of my “honey” for my card.

For my background, I wanted to use the small dot Foil-Mate from “Polka Party” and pair it with the Deco Foil “Firelight”. So, I put both of them (foil shiny side up) in a Carrier Sheet and ran it through the Fuse Foiling System (level 3). Quick Tip: Before running your toner cards and foil sheets through the Fuse, make sure to use a dust-free cloth and wipe everything down. This will help remove any dust which could cause the foil to not adhere completely!

Next, I colored Mr. Honey bear with my Olo Markers, and I also die cut the rest of the pieces that I will need to assemble the card. I secured the pieces using my iCraft Removable Pixie Tape. Most of the time for shaker cards, you use a sheet of acetate; well, you can also use mesh! I treat the mesh the same way I would a piece of acetate, but keep in mind it is not that strong! Remember that when selecting your shaker bits! When assembling a shaker card, you want to make sure to use quality foam adhesive strips, so the shaker bits don’t come out. I always use Gina K. Designs Foam Shaker Strips! Quick Tip: If I need a smaller width, I take the shaker strip and place it on parchment paper (or wax paper) and then cut to the size I need; it’s much easier to cut the strip this way.

I popped up my bear using the iCraft 3D Foam Squares! Sometimes when making my cards, I don’t use sentiments. Quick Tip: If I needed a sentiment quickly, I would use one of the several Deco Foil Toner Sentiment Packs. When I first receive them, I always foil one in gold or silver so it’s ready when needed!

For my second card, I used the Color Harmony Transfer Foils in Shades of Brown, Pink, Orange, Red, and Gold. There are four colors in each pack and, for each color I needed, I would use the same process as above using the Solid Black Toner Card Fronts.

However, If I needed a bigger sheet of foil to die cut from, I use Gina K. Designs Poly-Glaze Solid White Toner Sheets or Deco Foil Solid Black Toner Sheets in 8.5in x 11in. For this card, I needed a larger sheet of the Woodgrain (Shades of Brown) for The Sassy Club’s Builder Tree Die Set.

Other than that, it’s pretty much the same process as the card above, just a lot more beautiful fall colors! Quick Tip: When placing a lot of little pieces, like leaves, I found that using Small Zots Clear Adhesive Dots make the process a lot easier and secure.
