We hope you’ve enjoyed this week! It was our first team-up with our friends at Sunny Studio Stamps. Sunny Studio is owned by Mendi Yoshikawa! Mendi shares she started the company on a small budget from her basement studio. Mendi loves all things cute and colorful and creates the sweetest stamps, dies, and papers.
The proof is this adorable card and stamps from Vanessa Menhorn on the design team. We loved the tiny touches of our Deco Foil to perfectly embellish this sweet Birthday card! Don’t you?

It’s a fun week here on the Therm O Web blog as we partner up with our friends at Sunny Studio Stamps to share inspiration and project ideas featuring SSS stamps and Therm O Web’s fabulous line-up of products. Today I’m showcasing one of Therm O Web’s newer products, iCraft Deco Foil Flock, on this trio of adorable pun-y cards.
Let’s take a closer look.
Deco Foil Flock Tags
To begin, create some focal tags using stamped and die cut images from Sunny Studio Stamps Breakfast Puns stamp and die set and GinaK Designs Decorative Tag die set. For this project, the images were stamped onto Bristol Smooth Cardstock using black archival ink, and watercolored using Zig markers. The tags were die cut from patterned paper, and the tag toppers were die cut from Luxury White cardstock using a partial die cutting method. The small legs were die cut from Black Onyx cardstock.
Next, create 3.5″ x 5″ card bases from Wild Dandelion, Ocean Mist, and Innocent Pink cardstock. Cut 3.25″ x 5″ panels of Luxury White cardstock as a second layer.
Lightly spray the back of a stencil with Therm O Web Pixie Spray, and then place it down onto the white cardstock. The Pixie Spray will hold the stencil in place with no shifting.
Use a palette knife to apply Deco Foil Transfer Gel to the flat edge of the new Stencil Pal tool.
Drag the tool across the stencil to evenly spread the transfer gel over the entire area. Remove the stencil, and set the paper aside to dry. Wash the stencil and Stencil Pal immediately with warm soapy water.
Once the gel has completely dried and turned transparent, the paper is ready to be flocked. Cut a piece of flock transfer sheet that is slightly larger than the cardstock. Place the flock sheet face up between the sheets of a folded piece of parchment paper. Place the cardstock, gel side down, onto the flock sheet. Run through the laminator two times.
Adhere the flocked cardstock to the right side of the card base. Tie the tag with GinaK Designs Sheer Satin Ribbon. Add foam adhesive tape to the back side of the tag, and then adhere it to the center of the card.
Enjoy!
